No Bitner I was using your analogy of their choice.
You say if you go out tonite you are grounded.( and Unless you lock them up)' They are free to obey you or not.
You ARE free to choose a place with God or not with God.
We have been discussing my belief.
You of course can believe what you CHOOSE to.
You ARE free to make that choice. What is stopping you. Nothing.
You don't even believe in Him and I do.
You make a choice every day and no one or Deity stops you.
Free choice. And if you don't believe in God or eternal punishment.
Than its not a deterrent for you anyway. So you are not being"abused"
Unless you are afraid The God I believe in is real. Again yours to decide.
As we all do.
I didn't say I was being abused.

Again, there is no choice when there is only one "right" choice.

You didn't answer another question. Is your God not supposed to be our example of parental love?

Are you under the impression that I'm an Atheist? Because I'm not.

Good. You believe in God then.
I think at some point I used questioning language because I wasn't sure how you believe.honestly don't know.

Just from your insistence on how abusive God is sounded like you actually did but wanted Him to be different.

He is God. He is the Creator. He is powerful but loving.

If I have done a poor job and made Him sound less than He is. That is on me.

I have told you how I believe.I do not see Him as an abusive parent. He is loving to us. He wants us to be with Him when we die. The choice for that Is up to us.

Do not know one other way to say any of this.

See bible for further explanations. Peace

I believe in the Divine. I do not believe in your version. I posted the way I did because I was talking to someone who does worship him. I've read the bible. Several times. It doesn't change anything.

It's not loving to exile your child when you know that they will spend eternity in a place of torture that you created. There is nothing "loving" about that.

Even if my children hated me, I'd still love them, and I would never allow them to be tortured. How can you worship a being that is less compassionate than many of his own creation?

There is no "choice" when one option leads to eternal torture.

A place with God. A place with no God. He makes the rules not me.

You can think of it any way you want.

And believe in any way you want.

We are each not going to change our minds and hearts.

I won't say something I don't believe to score points here. But again

Your beliefs ..well they are yours. I believe differently.

And I know you were posting to the other poster.

Getting sorry I commented. But oh well. Anyway peace in your beliefs

Wrong. A place with God. A place of eternal torture devised BY God. Nothing "loving" there.

I'm not trying to change your mind. I was pointing out to the other poster that you can't call it a choice when choosing either option will result in eternal torture. And you can't say that "God doesn't send anyone to Hell" when HE is the one who created Hell, and He is the one who opened it up for humans to go to if they displeased him.

But His choice is that " none shall perish" he doesn't want us to be anywhere but in heaven .

I do see it as a choice. You don't
Be with God or not with Him. After earthly life is over.

Door one riches. Door two the tiger. That is an earthly story.
You think that is unfair.
You believe something else.

I understand what you are saying really I do.
Not sure what your belief is after you die

Some people believe there is nothing more. That is an easier belief for sure.. I don't. And personally I want to see the God that I love after I die and live with Him forever:)

Then he wouldn't allow anyone to go anywhere else. He most certainly wouldn't look at Hell as an alternative for humans.

"I do see it as a choice. You don't."

Where there is only one free option, there is no choice.

"Be with God or not with Him. After earthly life is over."

You're downplaying the other destination. I'm not talking about a lack of God. The destinations are either with God, or a place of eternal torture designed BY God.

"Door one riches. Door two the tiger. That is an earthly story.

Nope. I think that a parent kicking their own child out of your house simply because they don't do exactly what you say, when you KNOW that they will have no place to go but a torture chamber YOU created, is an abusive parent.

"You believe something else.
I understand what you are saying really I do.
Not sure what your belief is after you die

Neither do I.

"And personally I want to see the God that I love after I die and live with Him forever:)"

Again, I must ask, why would you want to be around a God who is less compassionate than his own creations? One that you have to walk on eggshells around out of fear that the littlest thing you do might result in eternal torture?

If God wanted to rake us into Hell, He could have, but instead He loved us enough to come where we are, since we didn't want, and couldn't go to where He is. He dwelt among us, and lived a sinnless life. Died a cruel death. These pictures you see of a guy that looks kinda like Brad pit, with a trinkle of blood going down his face is no where near what Jesus looked like on the cross. He was marred worse then any man. FOR YOU BITNER.

God only ask, that when not if, you realize you are a sinner, that you put your trust and faith in what He did for you. How much more loving can you get?

You would probably die for your kids, but would you die for mine?
What about dying for a man like gosnell, would you? No you wouldn't. He did.

It is not His wish that any perish, and He put in the heart of all of us, that lets us know there is sonething out there bigger, then us, but we go about our daily lives never thinking about how all of this came about, we just enjoy living and doing as we please.
Never giving God thanks for anything.

If you die in your sins, and miss Heaven, it will be over Gods dead son.
Many on here tell you this, and many tell you we are crazy and there is no God, so why not have a serious talk with God one on one, approach Him the way a tiny creation should approach a mighty God.

Those with a broken and contrit spirit He will not turn away, yet if you go like aka, and have a list of all the great things you've done, then He won't even hear you.

It is good to be good, and if aka told me the truth, about her marriage, then wow!! Great job, being married 30 years, waiting y
Till married to have sex, then remaining faithful for all these years, not only physicaly but mentaly as well?? Wow.

Yet it will not get her to Heaven.

Cain brought forth his veru best, and I think it was an awsome awsome fruit /veggie basket, but God rejected him for it. His way or no way.

It will be full of folks, with every excuse in the world, may even be some who say a guy called feces for Jesus said that hell wasn't real, and I didn't like how gtown wrote. He was to harsh.
Then they are cast into the lake of fire, which may or may not be in YOUR bible.

Jesus spoke 13 times about Hell for every 1 time about Heaven. He came to keep people from going there. He took it very seriously, and you truly should as well.

No, I wasn't , but thought of anithor bible story that seems to suit you better. Remember the two men going to pray, one fell one his knees and cryed out, be merciful to me a sinner "that ones me " - and the other stood tal and said oh God, I thank the that I'm not like this here man, for I do this and I do that, give to the poor, and other good things amen "that ones you ".
Perhaps you may read about them, and what happens.
Then you couldn't have been in church.

Those who displease Him don't go to Hell, since WE ALL didplease Him.
Those who have accepted His free gift "way out " will escape it.

If you were bitten by a deadly snake, and offered a medice to keep you from dying, would you accept it? Yet when others tell you of a "medicine" that does far more then save your temperol life, but rather saves your eternal life, you say no thanks I'm good. Hey that doesnte make alot of sense either.
Yet it is what it is, is it not?

You were bitten by the SIN SNAKE, God could've let you die and go to Hell, but He instead provided an anecdote for your condition, and what do you do? Say no thanks keep it God, I'm all good :) or I have another medicine here called good works that I believe will help my snake bite?!?!?!?

This is your belief. However, I was speaking to Rose then, who likened it to a child getting angry, and telling the parent they hate them.

"If you were bitten by a deadly snake, and offered a medice to keep you from dying, would you accept it? No. Medicines can be tested. What you spout is nothing but your own belief, and no, it does not make sense. Intellectually, emotionally, or spiritually. I will not worship such a petty, abusive being as the one believe in. Feel free, no one is stopping you. But don't try to pretend it's a "free will" choice, when you yourself keep saying it's his way, or no way. That is not free will, and there is no choice when one is not free to choose either without consequences.

"You were bitten by the SIN SNAKE, God could've let you die and go to Hell, but He instead provided an anecdote for your condition, and what do you do? Say no thanks keep it God, I'm all good :) or I have another medicine here called good works that I believe will help my snake bite?!?!?!?"

There is no "snake bite". Who said anything about "good works"?

Your God could have simply not opened up Hell for humans.
