Let him leave! He has been nothing but drama! He wants all the focus on him, doesn't seem to be much of a team player! Arkansas will be off without him and anyone else with his attitude!

I can't stand Houton Nutt, but Mustain does not seem like a team player. If he does not want to be here he should go! Mustain has talent but no work ethic, he needs to win the job not have it given to him.

Actually 7 wins. Mustain threw an interception on his only pass to SC and score was 0-0 when he left. I would like him to stay, but he ahs to want to be a Razorback and fight for his job and earn it. I t seems like he thinks it should be given to him.

mustain will always be a great high school quarterback. he sucked in the army all star game nad he sucked in the games he played in at arkansas. the TEAM is the reason we won and lost games. special teams defense offense. not one kid that hasnt proven anything but that he is a mammas boy. i seriously doubt he will ever be successful. glad he is gone.

Broyles comment the other day about consulting other coaches to come up with the idea that Malzahn's offence would not work in the SEC is garbage. Who did he consult...Ken Hatfield.

It is obvious that Broyles/Nutt do not have the desire to elevate this program to the likes of other SEC school like Florida, Tennessee, LSU, etc. They seem happy with winning enough game to get into a no name bowl in which as history shows they can't win.

As long as things stay the same, Arkansas will be mentioned in the same breath with teams like Ole Miss, Missippi State, and South Carolina. Not among the elite where they could be with a little offensive innovation and immagination.

Me too. He seems like a driven kid. However he needs to realize that this is not high school football. He is going to kill his stock before he ever gets started.

MO Hog my brother you have hit the hog on the snout. Broyles has been the problem with Arkansas football for as long as I can remember.

He is not trying to make things better at all. He is to worried about having his signature on the football team. The success that Arkansas has had in track in the past is beacause he knows nothing about it. Who knows what kind of coach Huston Nutt is? I don't think we have seen him since Storner was there. Broyles seems to be coaching the team from the press box.

The young man had 10 other players on the field with him including a Hiesman runner up. The young man needs to take his head out of the clouds and realize with some commitment, a little hard work and a small piece of humble pie he could be a part of something special. This is a team sport if I am not mistaken. He has all the up side in the world if he can get around he and his mothers expectations for himself. This is what has become the defining attitude of the American people. "What is in it for me?" Who cares if we win as long as I can show case my talents and get a big NFL contract. Correct me if I am wrong but I thought at quarterback you we supposed to lead by example. I the boys followed this example we would loss a great football tradition in Arkansas.

I think Mitch needs support right now but he also needs some guidence. Be a man son. Look out for you team. Peit them before yourself and there is a lot more to gain. You have a whole state full of people that know you did not get to play the role you thought you would. We all see that. There are just so many more things that are so much more important than vanity. Integrity, Team Play, and a since of you are as a man.

First things first. Mustain originally asked to be a red shirt as he felt that he needed more experience and increase in weight and musle to compete at the college level.(this does not sound like a kid that has his head in the clouds).

Right before the season began, he was approached by the coaching to staff to change his status so he could play. At that time they didn't know who would be healthy in the QB line up.(Mitch Agreed).

There was a lot of hype and while I have never met Mustain, it would not be a surprise if some of this went to his head. But again, I never heard or saw anything on TV or print.

Fact, he has to get rid of his mother. She has to let him live his life. Maybe is leaving isn't as much as getting away from Nutt, but getting further away from his mother. His mother isn't something he created and he has had to live with it his entire life. She is the one with the head in the clouds. Just ask any Springdale parent about her attitude with them. Enough said

What I find unusual are the events that have been documented, but not reported in the papers as the local sport writers are afraid to write the truth because Nutt has such thin skin.

1. Nutt would never speak or interact with Mitch.
2. All coaches would tease and call him names, belittling him in front of his team mates.
3. Danny Nutts friend used his computer to send negative emails to Mitch saying how much she hates him and wishes he would transfer.
4. All of the other coaches shun Malzahn. Hard to do your job in this situation.
5. Nutt never allowed Malzahn to implement a balanced offense with increased passing.
6. Nutt never allowed Malzahn to implement the hurry up, no huddle offense.
7. The benching of Mustain occurred the same time that a book was released and Nutt found out what a 16 yr old thought of him at that point in time.

Mitch Mustain has talent and excellent form. Unbelievable form. What he lacks (and he understands this) is experience and good coaching. The defense he is facing is much different that the High Schools he faced. He was a true freshman than needs more experience and exposure to tight situations. This is why he asked to be a red shirt.

The big issue isn't bashing Mustain. He is a kid and will make mistakes. It is ashame that Casey Dick has to get in the middle of this crape too.

Bottom line. The adults need to be adult. Nutt didnt want any of the Springdale group, but Broyles pushed him to get back into a bowl of be fired. Nutt didn't like that Malzhan could do what he couln't. Broyles can push, but can't execute his own plan of making Arkansas a real national championship team.

Nutt, don't expect someone to stick around when you treat them like yesterday's dirty laundry.

Mamma Mitch....get out of your son's business. You are an embarrasment to yourself, your son's, and every mother out there.

So you say LOL! this sounds very contribed. By the way Arkansas game is weak...they are a very long way from being a Championship Contender LOL! more like a pretender IMO.

The USC TROJANS worked them so HARD it was a joke!

How about those UCLA Bruins! As for USC, too bad they will have to forfeit any of the wins obtained while Bush was allegedly being improperly paid thousands of dollars by an agent. Tell USC to feel free to exercise some institutional control over its football program. Also, enjoy former hog receiver D. Williams, at least until he starts dropping passes in big games or begins complaining that he is not putting up big enough personal statistics (USC wins won't be enough).

Yeah UCLA does has a good Basket Ball program, don't they?

As far as USC and "Reggie Gate" goes God Bless America and it's due process, and let the punishment fit the crime.

Listen Davie, if he drops that many passes then what difference does that make? there are five receivers ahead of him in the program already, right?

Let me bottomline it for you, if he dosen't see the field because he sucks and can't catch the ball then he will just transfer again, who cares LOL!
