This part of Niya Butts' bio isn't often mentioned, but I'll never forget it.

We Tennessee fans usually fawn over the Chamique Holdsclaws and Candace Parkers of the world, but I'm one of those who realizes that it takes a lot of hands to create a championship. The most important unsung hand in Tennessee's improbable 1997 national championship was a freshman substitute that Pat Summitt told to go in late in the first half and don't do anything but play defense. What did she do in her limited minutes? She played a litter defense...four steals and four layups for eight points. Tennessee had lost ten games that season and opponent Old Dominion was a top two team. Tennessee won in single digits. Guess where I'll always in my heart believe that those points came from?

Congrats, Arizona. She's a winner!
