Well, LSU is not playing with the quarterback who beat Tennessee (barely) in the SEC Championship game last year. He was kicked off the LSU team for something (I think academics) but LSU's defense is again excellent. I think that ASU will score but will it be enough? It will take another great effort. Mike the Tiger is the deciding factor for LSU as ASU does not have a mascot that measures up to him.

wasn't overconfidence part of Michigan's undoing. Anyway, LSU isn't Michigan and the SEC is definitely not the Big 10. ASU makes a credible showing, but LSU has too much speed, and too much depth.

The game may get canceled if Gustav aims for Louisiana.

Not likely--the storm would threaten on Monday night at the earliest.

"LSU looks to exploit ASU's weaknesses".

Well they sure aren't going to exploit their strengths. Isn't this a basic tenet of sports competition that is implied. It's like a headline saying 'ASU may win, lose or tie in their opener with LSU.'

Don't let a little thing like that get in the way of the bigger picture. BTW, what if nobody can score in overtime, this isn't soccer you know.

they keep going till someone scores and unlike the NFL, each team gets a shot. There are no ties anymore. It's not a 'what if' question.

I concede.

From Wikipedia

Overtime was introduced in 1996, eliminating ties. When a game goes to overtime, each team is given one possession from its opponent's twenty-five yard line. The team leading after both possessions is declared the winner. If the teams remain tied, overtime periods continue, with a coin flip determining the first possession. Possessions alternate with each overtime, until one team leads the other at the end of the overtime. Starting with the 3rd overtime, a single point for a successful try is no longer awarded, essentially forcing teams to attempt a two-point conversion after a touchdown.(In the NFL overtime is decided by a 15-minute sudden-death quarter, and regular season games can still end in a tie if neither team scores. Overtime for regular season games in the NFL began with the 1974 season. In the post-season, if the teams are still tied, teams will play additional overtime periods until either team scores.) Youth knows no limit.
