Saw one soaring over Melton Hill. Awesome sight, sent chills through me. Great to hear about this.

I remember seeing one in the 80's when there were only a few of them in the state. I will never forget that. It was such a big deal to see one at that time. I guess this is why I remember it so much.

This is an amazing success story for the people who have worked hard in saving these majestic birds. I saw one in Rockford on New Year's Day. We had to turn around and go back to see it again. We were truly amazed! I had never seen an eagle in the wild.

Out here on the French Broad River near Johnson's Bible College, the eagles are a frequent site. We enjoy watching the young ones in their nest.
