Jordan Howell's performance was one of the saddest things I've seen on a basketball court. Surely Lofton will play better on Sunday.

Hey,maybe it wasn't a pretty game,but we won!
Every team has an off day.

You people need to be true fans and quit jumping ship at any sign of a problem. We are still in this.

The nerves will settle and the rhythm of the play will return.

!!!!!!!!!!Go Vols!!!!!!!!!!

I love this team, and I've enjoyed the season, but it's pretty much over. Butler is going to destroy us Sunday.

The guys are tired. They have run out of gas. The back-to-back games with Memphis, Vandy and Kentucky drained their tanks.

At least we got an SEC Championship!

all he's become is a non shooting point guard.
when he's on the floor, the other teams can easily double down on lofton/smith more often.
howell is a better shooter than this.
but when you're in a slump and you're in the ncaa tournament, the coach can't afford to let him try to shoot himself out of it.

and a lot of americas rebounds in the first half, were ones that basically fell in their lap.
better box outs will solve that.

good game from chism again !!
and how many times this year has jujuan smith turned things around with threes at just the right time ??

First round games are usually tough in the NCAA tournament, especially with the parody of collegiate sports nowadays. American U. had nothing to lose and they showed it. But, the better team won. They typically do late in the second half when depth and talent become an issue and that is what happened today. Though, the Vols will need to start dictating the game to where it is beneficial to them and not the other way around. Today was American U's type of game and still lost... that should say alot about UT.

No production from the point guards cost us the SEC tournament and will cost the NCAA tournament if he don't get someone to play a final four team guard. No one presses tennessee so you don't need a super ball handler. You need someone who can make a few passes and score a few points. Just a few>

Honestly and sadly, we got out rebounded and almost out played. I don't know what happened with our shooting game because today it wasn't there for the most part. If we play like that again, we will be coming home Sunday night. I sure hope we can pull it together!

It was certainly a sad performance. We were out rebounded by a team that only averages a collective height of 6 feet. We are lethargic at best on defense. There was no hustle to be found in a Tenn. uniform today. The worst part- we have played this way since Memphis. All of the above is the reason we are a 2 seed. It seemed today we should even be lower than that. Get it together guys. Butler is getting ready to hand it to you!

The guys don't seem to play with the same intensity that they showed in the Memphis game, but I have faith they're going to bounce back. If they are tired, then they need to get rested. The post season should show their mental toughness. Look at the determination that Georgia and Arkansas had.I don't believe we can make it to the final four, but I would like to stay in for a little while.

If you whiners had been around when volunteers were requested during the War of 1812, our state's nickname would be the Tennessee Cowards. We can win the tournament; just ask Memphis. Furthermore, the tournament has been wonderful for the simple fact that the snot-nosed dumbDores are out.

Only time will tell if moving J.T. Prince to point guard is a good move. However, It is worth a try. It sure can't hurt. Ramar and Jordan just aren't getting it done. I just can't believe that a team can get very far in the NCAA without decent point guard play. Good luck and GO VOLS!!!!

It would help Prince would just shoot the ball instead of try to be in the sports center top 10 plays of the day every day!!! It absolutely sickens me to even see him come off of the bench. JUST SHOOT THE DA*N BALL AND MAKE SURE IT GOES IN YOU ID*OT!

Well, I am proud of our season. We have come a very very long way for our guys. We expect it from our Ladies. due to years past. They both have a shot but what happens, happens. It just depends on who has a hot hand and what the referees think and do. There have been a lot of upsets already in the mens tournament and I am sure it will be the same in the lady tournament. I think both teams and coaches deserve our support and respect. Go Guys and Gals--do your best!
