My family has season tickets to UF, my in laws have season tickets to FSU and I have had season tickets to UCF for nearly 20 years. My kids, my wife, my family has never seen UCF's campus with the exception of my mother on my graduation day nearly 20 years ago. My mother the Gator, will be missing the UF/UT game to join me, my father in law, the FSU booster board member will be missing the FSU/Colorado game to join me. I truely get to bring my family to my home!

Wow Bianchi I'm speechless. Reading the letter from the 1st Lieutenant put a lump in my throat (non-sarcastically speaking). Five stars for this column.

Funny how the good articles doesn't command a lot of responses or posts. It shouldn't discourage the Sentinel to continue to write them. This IS the best article I've read yet on UCF.

Mike, I was sure I was going to "shed a tear" either walking in the stadium or as the National Anthem played..........

But I didn't think it would happen today.........10 minutes before my family and I make the trek from St. Pete. I read your column and thought about my plans of walking my sons throught the campus and showing them the six builings that were there when I and my wife attended. And your column just brought it all "Home".

Every home game is an away game for my family; but this time- WE'RE COMING HOME!!!!!!

I'm bringing my fiance (Ohio State), my parents (miami hurricanes), my sisters husband (rollins) and my brother (a fellow knight) to UCF this weekend.

You've absolutely captured the attachment, the excitement and the pride that so many of us are feeling. It's not about the game. Chances are Texas is gonna whoop us. It's about experiencing UCF again and sharing it with loved ones, even if just for a saturday afternoon.

Thanks for the great article, and GO KNIGHTS.

Great article! This will be the first time I've been back on campus in 10 years. I'm not going to miss the 3rd quarter beer sales at the Citrus Bowl so much now.

Thanks Mike. That was the best article I have seen in your paper on UCF and the signifigance of what this universities administration has done. I don't expect the hometown paper to turn a blind eye to issues within the university community that need to be reported on, but without question they could put a more positive spin on the growth and development of UCF. Thanks again for your comments.
