And Notre Dame is hard-headed. They will not learn until they get rid of the AD. Charlie Weis is the biggest fraud to hit college football. Notre Dame itself was the most overrated team in college sports (even more overrated than Duke) the last couple of years. Now they are being exposed and so is Weis. See things come back on people. The dark comes out in the light..........IRISH FANS ITS TIME TO STOP MAKE'N EXCUSE>...u will never be able to rid this terrible horrific record. I guarantee you Notre Dame will not win more than 2 games this year>

Well I think it is safe to say this year is irrelevant in terms of wins and very revelant in terms of losses- for how the team hasn't performed. It may not be all Weis' fault but he is reponsible for the team play - what play ?. His team plays worse each week. He has a roster of many talented players- players whom many college programs wanted!. Weis has failed to develop, motivate, and elicit play from his team. This is the job of a coach and he has not done that.Mentally Weis is still on the Patriots sideline and has not connected with his collegiate players!. With each week being more humiliating than last what can we expect for next year- Disaster again!. Please everyone use your networking skills to influence the Weis' resignation this year.

I have to say, that was one of the flattest teams I've ever seen take a field.
It almost looked like Charlie had lost the kids.
The D showed fire from the beginning, but they just can't stop the run.
Can't wait to get some of the dead weight at linebacker off of this team.

Charlie will fully dedicate himself to improving the O line for next year.
They are the biggest disapointment.
Anybody that knows football knows that a teams success comes and goes with the O line.
Fire Latina, and give us this mean and nasty team that you promised us.

It's gonna be hard to win 7 games next year.
6-6 or 5-7 is much more realistic.

BTW Charlie will not be fired.
It would destroy the program for at least 5 or 6 years and that #1 recruiting class would bail fast.
Besides, who would want to be the next head coach after the two before you got fired after only 3 years?

Okay Chris the offensive line needs bolstering- no argument!. But it is next year that I am worried about!- and the out years from there. Weis never connected with the team- his mind is all professional and not able to realize the collegiate talent level. He can work all he wants but Charlie doesn't play - the guys he cannot connect with do. Hypothetical- but if you were a talented player would you transfer out after this season- strong possibility that many will and Weis will lose control of the talent pool which now is about the best you can get. Remember when
Lou H. took over - it took two years and then a National Championship-the last in 1988. Now unfortunately, the situation resembles the sinking of the TITANIC- it really does not matter what steerage you are in; you are going down. With Weis it is the same - the players do not want to play for him and he cannot elicit their elan nor motivate them to excel.I call for his removal because I am an ardent fan and want good things for the football program and the school in general. I do believe that the school -administration -needs to re-evaluate itself again and look at the program objectively. I have a bad taste remaining from O'Leary - no not Willingham- and a clergy who cannot forgive is really a clergy in name only. There are many things that are wrong at ND.We do not need arrogance nor tactical holiness. We need a real and desparate group of leaders capable of taking decisive action to get the many things that are wrong at ND resolved. Start by forcing Weis' resignation.

You can't give me the argument the Weis is unable to connect or relate with the players.
His last three recruiting classes are a testament to that.
Kids can see through a guy shoveling bullsh*t to them, and nobody is doing that. They want to be here. The current players love him.

There are many problems with this team, and most of them fall upon the coaching.
The O line coach is going to take the fall.
There's way to much talent on the line for them to give up a record amount of sacks on the year.
The other big problem with this team is the divide in the locker room.
It's been reported everywhere that the upperclassmen don't even talk with the new kids. Tons of resentment there.
With a split unit, and deficencies in coaching, it's a recipe for disaster.
That, plus the obvious lack of athleticism, mainly in the upperclassmen.

We can hope for 7 or 8 wins next year, but who knows.
2009 and beyond is when ND will be able to compete nationally again.

ND can't even play Jimmy out of the shotgun because Sully can't snap that far.
This kid would be so great out of the shotgun every once in awhile.
Give his receivers time to get open.
