ND has now become a mid-major football program. I'm not even sure if they could beat themselves out of a wet paper bag at this point

I am with Charlie better get us now because look what we have coming in next year. Where were all the haters when N.D. was beating up everyone on their schedule. Now that they have one bad year they come out of the woodwork. Wait till Charlie gets his own kids in then see where N.D. will be. Back on the top!

The paper bag has been getting soaked since January of 1994. The fact is ND is just one more cold weather school that isn't going to find history is any help in recruiting 18 year olds from the south and west. Clausen has already taken more snaps at ND then he ever would have at USC.

With all due respect, this "return to glory" every other year is getting old. Didn't we hear that Clausen was going to be the real deal? I don't doubt ND will be back to their usual over hyped selves very soon. Maybe they will even get a bowl win before Weiss leaves in 2015.

Charlie has a group of kids in there and they apparently arent very good. I think its funny how people want to play the "freshman" card. What those people dont know is that Georgia starts 11 freshman on offense and defense. Notre Dame is not even near their level. USC always starts more than 6 freshman and look at their athletes compared to ND. Not even close.

Just remember this: ND has outrecruited Oregon the past three years. That says it all. Look at Oregon's athletes and look at ND's.

The folks who think somehow next year that #1 recruiting class is going to come in and make an immediate difference, this past year you had the #6 class. Where are those guys?

ND hasnt won a national championship in over 30 years. ND hasnt had a Heisman winner in over 30 years.

They are a glorified NC State.

Just the facts.

It hasn't been 30 years genius. Is georgia starting freshmen at ALL of their major skill positions???? Didn't think so. Does anyone in the country even come close to graduating ALL of their players??? Didn't think so. Get a life.

Before making statements concerning graduation you should take a deep breath, then lie down and take a nap. ND does an excellent job concerning graduation rates. Unfortunately for you, so do a lot of other universities. That's a card that is played entirely too often. Somewhat like ND doesn't red-shirt athletes.

Does ND start a freshman at all of the major skill positions? That's a question. Unlike you I don't turn into a statment, like "Didn't think so."

Dude you have had two straight years of top 10 recruiting classes and I had trouble telling which was ND and which was Navy last week.

You outrecruited Oregon for Christ sake and look at you and look at them!

I dont care about your graduation rate. Congrats on that.....you graduate players AND get pummeled repeatedly. That is great. I am happy for you.

Weiss is a terrible coach and you have signed on to that wagon for 10 years. You would be lucky to break .500 next year, but I doubt Weiss has got that much improvement in him.

THEY HAVE THE 119TH RANKED OFFENSE IN THE NCAA!!!!!!!!!

What a stud offensive genius you have there. hahahahah

What a joke.

I'm an ND fan and have to admit they really really suck. I'm also getting sick of hearing about top recruiting classes. Why aren't these supposedly top recruits performing? If they go 1-11 [which is entirely possible] they should fire Weis on the spot.

What about the seniors that start? Sullivan, Zbikowski, Crum, they've been brutal too. Trevor Laws is the only player who should hold his head up, the rest should be embarrassed.

Tom will be the first safety picked in the 2008 draft, and possibly even the first DB taken. Carlson and Sulivan will go mid first round. Their Big Ten rival Michigan will have zero picks in the Draft. Nd will win out this year, and go to a BCS game next year.

I think Charlie Weis is the next best thing to sliced bread, he's done a great job and should get a new, fatter, contract before this weekend's game. The guy is a freaking genious. Eversince, he left, the New England Patriots have really struggled, just look at Tom Brady, he stinks now. Go Charlie....

Charlie has a lot to learn about football, period. Most coaches would kick a 41 yard fg. in regulation to win to Navy Game. If Weis was at the Colts, they'd have a QB controversy. Fire the ND AD White who hired, count 'em, O'Leary (still undefeated), Ty and Charlie. Brilliant!!

ND looks like a train wreck. I'm sure no one has the right to blame the players. They are KIDS. Hold them accountable if they are getting paid, like Charlie! This has mismanagement written all over it! Where else besides ND could Morals come into play? "Shame on Ty & Were standing by Charlie!"
I have a feeling that Time has passed ND by, after reading "Were going back to the Glory Days!"
