I was at the AF game yesterday, and the scene was simply beautiful. Great weather, great crowd, great game. One of the most stirring settings for college football. Navy D played a decent game, and that is a good sign for the remainder of the year. However, I was a bit surprised that AF did not try more deep passes on Navy, and that AF did not pass much until the game was slipping away from them later in the 2nd half. I think AF did not attempt a pass during thier first 2 possessions of the game. AF has a very good QB, and watching the Duke film should have given AF some hope of being able to throw long on Navy. Any ideas why AF did not try to throw deep early? Finally, it would be great to see Navy play well and win in Pittsburgh next week, on national TV. Congrats to the Mids!

I was at the Navy Game too.

The Guy from Fells Point is
right but I think the penalties and lost focus( I think 3 practically in one possession)against Air Force defeated their momentum in the 2nd half.

However I must say ,the Cadets and Midshipmen (players, fans and many young famalies))show always true college class and style in all the sports they play. Its always a great time because everyone was polite and friendly. And everyone watches their language.

Cant say that about many sports these days.

Go Navy, Beat Army on December 1st in Baltimore

We were there too, and it really was a great day for Navy football. This team is growing up before our eyes. Coach Johnson is right: They're finally starting to look like a real Navy football team.

Air Force did draw three penalties on that one drive, which backed them waaaay up when they had been moving well and looked like they were poised to score again. They never quite got it back after that.

There were some Air Force folks sitting among us in the upper deck, home side, and everybody was really nice. It's fun to see all the kids at the games, too.

What a great fall afternoon!
