Who knows why, but seriously "Tenacious_ND" the Lou Holtz Pep talk on ESPN at halftime during the Arizona and Oregon game was the lamest thing I have ever seen LOL~!

I thought he was going to keel over and have a coronary toward the end of his speech.

Everyone forgets that CW was an emergency hire.
Both Willingham and Zook were fired to make way for college footballs next great coach, Urban Meyer. It looked worse for ND than Florida because of the history of a ND coach finishing his contract. But ND thought Meyer was the messiah. When Meyer chose UF over ND, ND looked stupid. Panic & desperation! It was necessary to make it sound like CW was the genius ND had wanted all along. But ND would never have fired Willingham and hurt ND's aura of principle to hire CW.
As far as ND getting into the Fiesta Bowl instead of K-State, it's the fans that matter to the Bowls, not the records. The bowls will chose a program that draws a crowd. So really, K-State or Notre Dame?

No Excuses,OK? Emergency hire? How arrogant of Notre Dame to assume that Urban Meyer would take the Coaching position from the get go.

Maybe Notre Dame should have had a longer list of applicants IMO.....sorry but thats a Notre Dame AD problem.

When you're Catholic, it's not "all about the money."
ND had no obligation to accept the bid to the Fiesta Bowl--they could have turned it down and accepted a lesser bowl bid (the Aloha, for example) and remained true to their mission as a Catholic institution.
I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy at ND and providing the first of many legitimate reasons why so many college football fans hate ND. And thanks to you, your sense of entitlement adds to the long list of reasons to hate ND.
And, yes, on Monday I start a new position at 2/3 my former salary helping to provide better healthcare to those without. I expect to work the same 50-55 hours per week.

OUCH~! Chris did you see this? Dropped by your own network LOL~!

The NBC Sports department just bumped Notre Dame Football for Dora the Explorer? for the rest of the season LOL that classic~!

NBC Cancels Remainder of ND season

NBC cancels remainder of 2007 Notre Dame football season

NEW YORK, NY — Following last Saturday’s loss to the Air Force Academy, NBC head Jeffrey Zucker has decided to cancel the remaining portion of Notre Dame’s football season.

“The Irish just aren’t a good fit for our programming lineup right now,” Zucker told reporters.“The network has taken a severe hit with the writer’s strike, and we can’t afford to bleed any longer.”

The Irish have long been a big draw for NBC, but the team’s 1-9 start this year has been a ratings disaster for the peacock network. Concern is now growing within Notre Dame’s athletic department that without the lucrative TV contract, the school will be unable to afford the extensive costs of running a Division I program.

While it is unknown what NBC will air in place of the Irish, inside sources reveal the children’s cartoon Dora the Explorer to be a frontrunner. Other potential Saturday programming includes reruns of Law & Order SVU and a rebroadcast of the previous Friday’s Today Show.

“My players have worked too hard to just cancel the season,” Notre Dame Head Coach Charlie Weiss told SSNN.“These kids come here with the expectation to go to a BCS game whether they deserve to or not. It’s an intrinsic right for all Notre Dame. To take that away from them is a travesty.”

THAT'S FUNNY LMAO~!
