Gonzalez may be good someday, but he's not yet. I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but the buzz about him has died down significantly. He's still "learning the offense."

No problems, there. He's a rookie, he's got time. I just think expectations of him being Stokely for the first game were a little high.

Gonzo, hang onto that ball, man. Pretty important part of being a possession receiver.

Gonzo has a lot of raw talent and ability. The slot receivers historically take big hits running routes up the middle, so he will have to adapt...which I think he will be able to do.

I'm more concerned about the ability of Ugoh. His man on successive plays went throught him like Sherman through Georgia. Then they lined up Clark and Utecht next to him for help.. Later on plays he would throw himself at the feet of the rusher, that didn't work they just stepped over him.
In Gonzalez I see real potential.

You are so right. Manning has been blindsided just once in nine years ... it could happen a lot more this season. Ugoh is a long ways away from looking like a starting left tackle in the NFL. Maybe he'll come around soon ... hopefully not after Peyton has suffered a season-ending injury at Ugoh's expense.
