I sure wouldnt want Newhouse or Sherrod as my left tackle so anything would be an improvement I guess. We dont have that problem cause we have a real left tackle in Kalil.Funny article cause the author doesnt even mention Lacy.Guess he didnt think much of him.LOLThe Vikings rule in this draft and last year.Go Vikings.

I am glad you are happy about the draft I think both teams drafted very well.

But all this other crap coming from the guy who whined and whined about the Vikings drafting Kalil the previous year and not going Dline or whatnot. I really liked the Kalil pick and new it was the correct pick which I (and others) told you repeatedly as you argues over and over how it was not the right pick, I am glad you are finally coming around. Maybe as the Vikings are rebuilding they new they could get a good DT the next year, which a very good one fell to them but other good tackles were there too, nice planning by the Vikes.

The Vikes did a very good job of helping both lines, by doing the exact opposite of what you think they should have done. So much for your draft opinions then huh?

No one knows how good or bad Sherrod is or could be,,he may end up being a terrific LT,He got leg whipped in a freak accident, hes not injury prone, unf. shit like that happens in the NFL once in a while.Granted you got Khali ( which i recall you complaining about).
You still finish behind GB last time you went 13-3 you took a dump for following year,So ,hold you jets until you do it again, you had a good draft so far last year,,we will see this year, a 3rd pick talent fell 20 spots to you, why? Maybe an issue, maybe not,
You then drafted a corner out of F.S who remindes me of Terrell Buckley and gave up 4 picks for a WR who is at best a kick returner/punt returner right now,he has to develop,he has a good teacher in Jennings, lets see how it turns out, thats the one im keeping an eye on,lets see if it was worth 4 picks

How do you figure it was 4 picks.Youre not including the first we got.We gave up three picks and we got one of them back.

You traded a 2nd,3rd,4th and 7th correct? if so,thats 4 picks,if im wrong,then i apologize for my mistake.
You used your 23rd on the NT/DE
25th ( from Seattle) on the corner and the other 1st on the WR/PR/KR from Tennessee

Well look at it this way if we had been 4 picks later we would have been moving up in the 2nd.If we gained a first how could we give up 4.Youre not counting the one we gained.

the 1st = a 2nd + a 3rd + a 4th + a 7th

in this equation you have one side or the other, anything inbetween is equall to the square root of your balls = zero

Math kills!

True you did not have the 1st. But what did you have that you gave up to get the first? It was a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 7th. So you lost and gained. Therefore the 1st gained has the same value as 4 picks lost

1st = 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 7th

No telling what could happen if you kept the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 7th picks. They could all equall something else. But in the context of the trade the 1st equaled a 2nd 3rd 4th and 7th.

Well the Packers traded a 5th and a 6th for Franklin.Who knows what you could have gotten with those two picks. You can word it however you want but at the end of the draft the Vikings were only two picks short of what they had.

very true but teams usually dont give up a 2,3,4 and 7 for 1 pick...Trading 2 picks to move up a round or 2 is normal

True enough Eric.We gave up allot no question. My own personal opinion though I dont know how much it mattered in this particular draft when we picked up two 7th rounders that were ranked middle round picks.Strange draft this year.Plus you always have undrafted plus you could always steal somebody from someone from someone elses pratice squad. Its especially important for us when we only drafted one reciever. But we do have Stephen Burton and Greg Childs from last year and the year before that they must have some confidence in although I havent seen anything out of them.I would say if they dont show up this year theyll be gone next.

The 2013 NFL is all about playmakers, what the Vikes got in RD1 (Patterson) would not have been duplicated in the lower rounds.
