I used to love the Buckeyes. Then Jim Tressel came in with his phony dog and pony show. Now we have a terrible office, an arrogant coach and a bunch of underachieving pansies wearing scarlet and gray.

I'm not going to pick another team. I was born in Columbus, I went to Ohio State and I was a walk-on under Bruce. I turned down a D2 Scholarship to Ashalnd for the honor of practicing with the Buckeyes. I played for four years. I don't bleed scarlet and gray, I AM scarlet and gray. I am Brutus figging Buckeye.

So you can kiss my big old Buckeye butt when I criticize the program. I know what's going on and I've seen what Tressel is about. I'm disgusted with his performance. I guess you have to see things from the inside to understand.

Laurinitis was a 2 star recruit from outside the state and won the Lombardi twice. Tressel does the same thing folks.
Tressel did not do that to James. Please do not say that...and if you gonna say he taught S holmes how to run routes and catch balls that made him a SB MVP...you are a lie too...James always had the fire...he just shut up and played...the same as will smith...Holmes came in Raw but could run routes decently and he had the speed to make up for his route running mistakes.

Case in point the WR coach there is good. That new kid Louis will thrive...all they do is come in see where there talent can go...shut there mouth do it and excel at the NFL level...dont say tressel turned james into a lombardi winner...then that mean he can do the same for Spitler...get the **** out of here with that nonesense...he depletes talents. How can you have a Beast of a RB like MO Clarett and try to tame him? are u crazy...you let the horse run...Look at Ted Ginn...could not run a decent route to save his life...did tressel try to tell him this and that? No ...he has the speed to make up for his mistakes....if Ginn (a CB in highschool) could have run a route decently to that of Holmes he would not be struggling on the offensive side of the ball in the NFL...now he is returning punts and kickoff...

Name one Tressel recruit who's obvious Talents did not diminish under him...name one....Sorry AJ Hawk....name two...Beanie does not count that was all Natural?....only our Heisman QB excelled under Tress...but then again...Troy came in being able to throw the ball on mechanics needed work...

Good God... You think we had lost at PSU the way you are talking! Why do we even play the next two games? If we are lucky to win, we will have to play a good team in a bowl game... Oh no... We will have no chance at all! Why don't we just quit playing football at OSU? We have a bad coach, we play the wrong players, our offense is horrible, etc, etc.
Yet in the last 9 years you can count on one hand the teams that have accomplished what the Buckeyes have. I would list them, but it would be useless since your glass is always half empty.
GO BUCKS!!!!!
Look man no one is saying that OSU lost the game...from the starting whistle Penn St look sluggish...If Penn St played with urgency there may be a diff outcome...the same Running plays were called over and over with no variations...take my word for it...if he call a game like this against a BCS team we will lose...trust me...

No he doesn't. First of all, Tressel does very little with the defense. He doesn't recruit those players and he certainly doesn't play a role in developing them once they're here. Credit Heacock and Fickel with that. While it is true that Tressel will land a sleeper recruit, more often than not his recruiting classes are an embarassment of riches. Year after year he brings in remarkable talent.
And while it is not an exact science, coaching is the difference. Unfortunately Tressel does less with more. Year after year he brings in the top talent in the country and year after year the Buckeyes look fat, slow and stupid when they're facing another blue chip-laden squad.
Thank you...I rambled on with my analysis...but u are spot on...Did u see that "FAT" line man for Alabama block that Tenn field goal? I cannot remember if he was an OL or DL...BUT NONE OF OUR OL or DL of that size or bigger IS THAT ATHLETIC...and HE HIS WAAAAAAAAAAAY BIGGER THAN ANYONE ON OUR TEAM....it is Coaching and a players determination my friend...and TRESSEL DOES not coach..

It was a good win over an vastly overrated Penn State team that padded its schedule with creampuffs. Ohio State is best described as inconsistent. We'll see how the Buckeyes finish the season. Even if they win the conference they still have to prove themselves in the Rose Bowl.
Ohio State has a long way to go to win back national respect and Tressel has a long way to go to prove to me he's not a pompous jerk who should be coaching Youngstown State.
Ok you finish your statement well...i hope this is a lesson to all of our OSU fans. when you schedule CREAM PUFFS like we did in those BCS title years post 2002-03 this is what happens...when u face a good team, your team does not know how to handle competition especially when you face AKON, YTst, Toledo, Ohio, Miami OH...trying to be a big brother to give these schools money (which is fine) but just prepare to get your ass whoop when you play a great team...these teams cannot tell you where you need improvement per se...especially when you out weigh them by 70lbs on the OL ...but yet cannot get a push...or Block...waaaow...schedule quality teams...not quantity

Can it ever be that OSU just flat out played a good game? Does it always have to be the other team looked sluggish or the other team was this or that? They played a great game. PERIOD. Good Lord. I feel sorry for the Buckeye team with critics like you. If they are not perfect all year every year, then they suck.

YOU ARE SHOWING YOUR LACK OF FOOTBALL INTELLIGENCE BY BAD MOUTHING 3 STAR REQRUITS. AFTER ALL, LOOK AT WHO MAKES THOSE RATINGS. REQRUITING CZARS WHO PRETEND TO BE EXPERTS AT EVALUATING FOOTBALL TALENT. DO YOU THINK THOSE CLOWNS KNOW MORE ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS THAN THE COLLEGE COACHES. GO LOOK AT ALL OF THE 3 STAR REQRUITS THAT JIM TRESSEL HAS BROUGHT IN AND TURNED INTO ALL AMERICANS. IN FACT, THE 3 STAR PLAYER OFTEN FAR EXCEED THOSE HIGH AND MIGHTY 5 STARS LIKE MR PRYOR IS NOW DOING AS A BUCKEYE

Tress, Ferentz, Dantonio. All solid character guys that attract and instill the same in their teams. Contrast that with the mess at that school up north.

Ferentz takes a lot of players and creatively puts them into new positions. Robert Gallery was a tight end in high school, and Ferentz made an OL out of him and beefed him up, and of course, he won the Outland Trophy as the nation's best lineman. Dallas Clark, now a star in the NFL, was a linebacker that Ferentz made into a great tight end. Very creative staff there and from all accounts, Ferentz is a truly classy individual....in deep contrast to RichRod at Michigan.

Kenmore says: "Honestly Hawker, how can you as an Iowa fan go what if when your team has been behind in eight or nine of the games you've played, four in the fourth quarter. Had that been the bucks we would not be in the top 25."

Kenmore - the Buckeyes had a similar season the year they won the national championchip a few years back. A lot of people were very unimpressed with OSU that year, but their undefeated season still kept them in the big game and they won - defying many naysayers such as yourself. Give the other team there dues - the Hawkeyes have had an excellent (unimpressive to some) season and they have done so with much less polished talent that that which OSU gets every year. I am not saying that OSU squanders their talent (Notre Dame is an example of that year after year), because no one wins the title every year. Look out for Iowa Saturday because they will be on top of there game - cross your fingers for Tyrell.

If Vandenberg can get into a rythem he will shoot the lights out even in the horseshoe! He is a better natural passer than Stanzi, but we don't know about leader yet. Our great season is at stake but I don't think to many Hawkeye fans are sweating it!

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Virgo

Someone is being headstrong and wilful, and absolutely determined to do what they want. Mercury is retrograde and it's a Full Moon in Cancer with a lunar eclipse all happening tonight! This could lead to some heated discussions and possibly even rows, as you argue the toss back and forth. It might be best to accept that there's very little possibility of reaching an agreement rather than to get locked in a stubborn battle of wills. Besides, you don't want anything to spoil what promises to be a very enjoyable New Year's Eve. Have fun!
