I think Ohio State's playbook should have enough different type offensive plays to be able to run a different type attack on every first down attempt. The endless string of RB off tackle plays usually wastes the down in my opinion. The 62yd TD pass to Posey at Penn State is an example of what unexpected variety can produce. You know how about a surprise Posey to Pryor bomb towards the end zone for a big TD. I'm just saying... use the talent in more imaginative ways... spread the wings and soar... this season is coming to an end so go for it.

I was floored by this column. Posey is having a pretty good year considering all the scrutiny that his qb has been under for the majority of the year!

I love Posey but to do a story on him before Dane Sanzenbacher - Come on. This dude has been holding it down since he arrived at Ohio State and played as a Freshman. He goes over the middle and catches absolutely everything for Terrell. Posey isn't as complete as Sanzenbacher is just bigger and maybe a bit faster. Dane is the model of consistency.

What they really should do is just start out on 2nd down from now on. 2nd and 20 of course because you cant forget to throw in a delay of game penalty for Tress not getting the call in until there is only 5-10 seconds left.

I watched a replay of the 2006 game against Michigan last night. All of you who are jumping up and down about conservative play calling and questioning JT's play calling should watch that game agin and then dream about TP next year and the year after.....If he plays up to the level he played last week, the next two games and the bowl game will be a real treat for the eyes..I am convinced we are seeing a boy become a man rigt before or eyes......Posey and Sanzenbacher will become two more high draft picks because of TP and his ability to get the ball to them...The legacy LIVES !!Go Bucks !!!

Terrell's a great kid for giving all of his teammates credit for their effort. He'll be a fantastic leader.

Dane reminds me of Gonzo and Posey of Ginn....Both are very capable if TP can get the ball to them on time. Dane has much better hands and has the ability to cross the middle .We are lucky to have both of them.We also need to see Carter a little more and a few pases to Saine to open the offense a little more. Face it ,we have the horses,we just need to control the driver a bit more and we will become awesome....

I watched that game many times, what I came away with was Troy was calling many of those plays, not Tress. Tress had tremendous confidence in Troy, which I think played a huge role in having an undefeated regular season and winning the Heisman.

I really like Posey, but I feel he needs to concentrate on making every catch. Once he does that, he will be a 1st round pick and one of the greatest OSU receivers. Posey is the fatstest of the OSu receivers coming out of high school. Ray Small, Posey, and Dane all ran track in high school. Posey ran a 10.6 100 meters, and was state Champ in 400 at D-1 (47.3). Dane ran the 400 (48.0) and Ray Small ran a 10.65 100 meters. My point is that we have speed, but Posey with his size (6-3, 205 and speed combo could make him very special). Plus, Posey is humble and appears have the work ethic to be great (unlike Smalls). In High School, Posey had his best games vs the best teams (Colerain, St. Xaiver, Elder, and Lakewood St. Edwards). Now with that said, I really like Dane and Duron as well. I think Dane has better hands (obviously) and will play in the NFL as will Carter (who could be the best of them all). Buckeyes are blessed at Reciever and TE with Stonebrunner.

I hope Iowa is spending a lot of time trying to stop Posey! Let them forget that we have 10 other great players on the field!!

Dane is kinda small and reminds me a little of Tommy McDonald (Sooners $ Phil. Eagles) years ago. Great hands and is usually wide open. I can't wait to see Duron play as he matures. If he is anything like his old man we are in for a treat.

I believe we all need to give a big vote of thanks in that we have a gentleman and very knowledgeable coach in Jim Tressel. The quality of the young men he selects is a testimony to the fine qualities that attend Buckeye football. I'm an ol' grad, 1951, and I have cheered and cussed and, yes, even wept at our victories and disappointments. So carry on, you tried and true Bucks, carry in good cheer'

DeVier Posey is a pleasure to watch and cheer for while he's on the field. Off the field he seems to be and even better young man. It won't be long before he will truly be one of the leaders on the team...move onto a promising pro career...and be an outstanding citizen. I look forward to his continued growth and know he will make everyone who knows him quite proud. Thanks for being a Buckeye, DeVier!

We will never have an offense that caters to making record breaking receivers as Coop did in the 90's. David Boston, Terry Glenn, etc... Our receivers run down the field in a 20 yard sprint the first 2 downs and then when its 3rd and 15 they get a shot at keeping the drive alive.

I like all the receivers...they are first class. I personally think Posey and Duran Carter will be 1st round drafts.

Michael Jenkins is the all time receiving yardage leader. Santonio Holmes is 5th and Ted Ginn 8th. Boston 2nd and Glenn 13th. Career receptions, Boston 1st, Jenkins 3rd, Holmes 5th, Ginn 6th and Glenn 21st. Career TD's, Boston 1st, Holmes 3rd, Glenn 5th, Robiski & Jenkins 6th, Ginn 10th, Gonzalez 11th. Boston was a beast. I thought Glenn showed glimpses of being the best I had ever seen in 95, but he really had only that one year. Lets not forget Dee Miller and Ken Yon Rambo. I think Tressels receivers stack up pretty well with Coopers.

The coaching staff designed/called the plays and coached Smith on how to read defenses and make the change to the right play. By 2006 Smith was thinking like a coach on the field and was able to change plays on the field. TP isn't there yet......hopefully he can continue to grow like Troy did. Tressel's confidence will grow when he sees growth on the field, like it did with Troy.

Keep working and playing hard Posey, you'll be rewarded with NFL money very soon. That's what we do at OSU, make NFL players, unlike the University of Florida who burn their players out and kill their pro aspirations!

DANE IS A GREAT RECEIVER, BUT NO ANTHONY GONZALEZ - I HOPE DANE MAKES IT AS A POSSESSION RECEIVER IN THE PROS, BUT HE WILL NEED TO IMPROVE ON HIS SEPARATION FROM DEFENDERS FOR ONE THING. ANYHOW - IF POSEY GETS DOUBLED THIS WEEKEND, DANE SHOULD HAVE A BIG GAME!

Lets just keep improving. They talk as if the season is over and the offense is fine. It looked good last week, but thats the first time in about two years it was acceptable.
