The climate change the entire nation needs is two new political parties.

This guy is unbelievable! Please oh please read up on him since the media will not report his past.

"In April 2013, Watchdog.org obtained more emails and in a series of extensive reports on GreenTech and McAuliffe revealed that VEDP was wary of GreenTech's financing because it relied heavily on the EB-5 visa program which provides green cards to foreign nationals who invest money in the United States. A VEDP official wrote that she was concerned that GreenTech's project was "a visa-for-sale scheme with potential national security implications."[18] Further concerns were raised when GreenTech failed to pay its taxes on time on the site it owns in Mississippi where it plans to open a new facility in 2013.[18] Watchdog.org quoted an investment adviser as saying the company was a "fraud investment" because of its use of the EB-5 program"

Terry McAuliffe is by no means a perfect candidate for governor of Virginia.

But considering the alternative, Taliban Ken Cuccinelli, it's a no-brainer for Virginia citizens.

McAuliffe believes in the core values of democracy (popular sovereignty, equality, justice, freedoms for all citizens, tolerance, promoting the general welfare), and Cuccinelli –– as he's demonstrated again and again –– does not.

But then, Look at the Republican ticket: Cuccinelli, crazy E.W. Jackson, and constitutional illiterate Mark Obenshain.

@ Wilbur: You left something out of your rant: " On April 12, 2013, GreenTech filed an $85 million lawsuit against Watchdog.org , alleging libel and saying the site's reports jeopardized millions of dollars in investments. Watchdog.org has denied that it committed libel. McAuliffe's campaign has declined to comment and referred questions to GreenTech."

You mean expanding welfare so all of Va can look like the Mall. He is just another leftist wanting to expand freebies to buy votes, funded by those of us who work.

When will they ever learn? It's no wonder the GOP has the image it does.

it's sad that elections are now used to decide which candidate is the least bad.

I can't believe this is the best the two parties could come up with, Cuccinelli and McAuliffe. if ever there was a need for a third choice, it's now.

I got a good laugh from this story's cover picture: McAuliffe doing his best to strike a revolutionary Lenin pose as he raises his weak-soft-lily-white-limousine -lefty right hand, clinched into something that resembles a fist as he fatuously exclaims, "I am all in. My opponent continually tries to divide people and businesses and that's not how you grow."

McAuliffe is so all in. He is so down for the struggle. What a Mann des Volkes!----Hot air blown into private eliminary orifices.

I attended the C'ville Headquarter opening. McAuliffe is Great at Campaigning - much better than Creigh Deeds was. So, it's Syracuse NY (McAuliffe), vs. Edison, NJ (Kookoonelli). I like the Dems chances. Terry M is not campaigning, he has a plan. He anticipates the sequestration will be continued for another year, and that DOD's like Northrup Grumman and others are saying they may lay-off 10%, so Virginia's great job record may take a turn. That's why he's focused on technical skills (esp. Community Colleges) and transportation (to thwart gridlock and attract companies to VA). Sounds good to me!!! Go with Terry!

Describe, in detail please, what recent new programs or changes to existing programs have counted as "expanding welfare."

Your post will end up being very short, I bet.

Plus the rolled up sleeves as if he is ready to work.

These things are not coincidences -- they are orchestrated.

Sez probably is referring to socialism and the left's tendency to support such theories.

Socialism isn't a "theory." It's a kind of economic system where capital is publicly owned. It furthermore has precious little to do with anything in the political economy of the contemporary U.S. You might point to the USPS or something. But in this regard there is not a lot to point to.

Perhaps what people are really meaning to say is "welfare state capitalism?"
