That chick was the highlight of the BCS Championship game. Poor Musberger is getting flack for trying to liven up the telecast of an overhyped/underdelivering and frankly dull game for any non-Alabama fans.

The really sad part of all of this is that Notre Dame was so pathetic that the network had to find something interesting to show. I remember that years ago I was at a public forum where Frank Gifford was speaking and he told about a Monday Night Football Game that was so bad that the producer told several of the camera people to scan the stands and attempt to locate something of interest. The BCS championship game was much the same as the one Gifford was talking about. You had a great team on the field and one who did not belong on the same field so they had to attempt to find something that would interest the people. I wonder how many millions that game will cost the Notre Dame Linebacker who was SUPPOSED to be so good?

<quoted text>Agree, however, they would be a 4th place team in the SEC WEST (behind Bama, A&M, LSU).
And yes, I've been complaining all season about the Iwish's schedule, heck, the only quality "win" they had was against Stanford, and they didn't actuall even win that game (fairly anyway).
You are right on about Virginia Tech, last night's mismatch reminded me of that BCS title game a few years ago in which Florida State trounced Va. Tech.
4th place in the west sounds right but 4th place in the east sounds about right also.

Don't kid yourself...Notre Dame was barely even in that game....Alabama deserves all the accolades, as they are one of the great alltime teams.....
AMEN! Over the years I have had the privilege of watching many great teams
dominate their opponent, from the Tony Dorsett led Pitt teams of
the 1970's
to those nasty Miami, Florida, Florida State teams that followed.
In my view Alabama was bigger, faster, better athletes, and
on a different level as a football team. There will be a number
of Alabama players that will graduate to the NFL. On that day,
Alabama was the best college team that ever played, and they
would compete most favorably with any team in football history.
