Rocky left us this mess. He left at exactly the right moment--he didn't want to go 0-5.

No surprise here. What is surprising, however, is the time it's taking for President schmidly to resolve the Coach Locksley issue. I fear he is using the tried and true method of delay to postpone what should be a straightforward decision, to remove or not to remove the coach. Unfortunately, he must realize that underneath the coach Locksley issue is a rotting infrastructure supported by Mr. krebs and President schmidly. Like a line of dominoes, these incompetents will go down one by one once the coach is pushed. These useless administrators are starting to make UNM appear like a " banana republic" among universities. Unfortunately, the good efforts by dedicated faculty, staff, students and alums is being obfuscated by the antics of these greedy, selfish interlopers who care as much about UNM, the taxpayers, the students and the faculty & staff as the Pied Piper of Hamlin cared about returning the kids to their parents. I sure hope the impending audit encompasses such details as foreign bank accounts, missing funds, unusual travel and entertainment expenses, no traditional faculty hires by friends relatives and associates of these three " academics" and if so determined, the most judicious and expeditious method of removal for these specious excuses for university administration

Does anyone recall the first year records of the last five Lobo football coaches? I'm not defending Lockesly, but it is his first year and they are the Lobos.

Rocky knew what this season was bringing in terms of talent. Smart dude!!!!!
Rocky was the REAL winner - taking that million dollar severance and still getting a coaching gig.

If the game had been only 2 quarters, the Lobos had a chance. They played fairly well in the first half. The Defense seemed to play ok. NM just doesn't have the talent right now and probably won't for awhile. Rocky left b/c he knew that if he didn't turn things around this year, everyone would have his head, too. I think Locksley can be a good coach if he can stay out of trouble off the field.

You act like faculty and staff at UNM do nothing wrong. Didn't Princeton Review rank UNM #1 for having the most inaccessible professors? Not surprising. The faculty are too busy holding meetings where they complain that they are overworked and underpaid. What about the English prof who did a bondage porn video with one of her graduate students. She didn't even get disciplined. In my opinion, a prof-student relationship of this nature is much worse that what Locksley is accused of going. There are other examples I could cite, but I think everyone gets my point.

And yes, I did see the Princeton rankings, which I suspect are composed, in large part by student interviews. Nevertheless, you failed to address the the substance of my commentary which is the comportment of the three, so called administrators who seem to be wreaking enormous damage to UNM by way of their actions. As for the " porn movie", I suspect the salient element in your accusation is were any laws violated or harm done to anyone? An accusation of assaulting a subordinate, demonstrated ineptness, and failure to resolve germane academic issues in a timely format is, I believe, a bit more relevant than the issues you note. As for faculty complaints, yes, UNM salaries are below the norm( Mr. Krebs $ 91,000 bonus might have helped alleviate some of that inequity, albeit a small amount)and yes because of the student faculty ratio, they most likely are stressed out. BTW- I have no association with the faculty and staff, other than being acquaintances of one or two faculty members.

How long did it take you to painstakingly type out this pedantic and condescending essay. Reflects well on your education and social interaction skills. Sounds like you are a wannabe professor to me. And your prose is inaccessible.

Let's look on the positive side, if the Lobos are wanting to establish a record before the season is over, let's look at a 0-20 season. At least we will have something to celebrate about...

Looks to me like they've got the wrong personnel for the kind of style Locksley wants to install--I hope Locksley knocks off his dumb behavior, earns sufficient trust and is given time to recruit and fill out the roster with HIS players. Although he's probably a good kid, Porterie is not the answer--not in this offense and not in Rocky Long's offense, either.

FYI- it took about three minutes to compose and transmit this electronic missive. Honestly, I have no desire to enter the academic ranks. I did, however, pay attention to my grammar school, high school and UNM instructors when attending classes. As for condescending format, such is certainly not my intention. For virtually all my life, I've always considered myself as " one of the crowd(i.e., a lifelong Democrat)." Is there a wrong in putting forth ideas, concepts and opinions in a more esoteric ( Pedantic, by your estimates) format than normally employed in conversation?
