According to a story by ESPN.com's Joe Schad, former University of Miami and Plant High quarterback Robert Marve has narrowed his transfer choices to Purdue , Arizona State, South Florida, and Nebraska after making visits to each of the schools.

Ok all teams put restrictions on guys who transfer. Especially guys they wanted to keep. If marve and his old hs coach hadn't been shopping his services while he was still a cane and hadn't told randy he was transferring this would never happen. If shannon didn't think marve was having contact with tenesee and florida while a member of the canes he doesn't restrict those teams. Lets be fair here also no way was marve the better qb. harris outplayed him every game almost it seemed jacory had to save marve's butt. I know marve had a couple good games but harris seemed to move the team better all season long.

Well, if that means that I was a Marve fan, thats right. I thought he was easily the best QB on the squad. And there was no reason for Shannon to punish Marve 9 months after the fact, or to restrict Marve (other than spite), from playing for USF, UCF, or any out of state SEC school. A HC is supposed to be a teacher and leader...not a baby. And I'm a lifelong Cane fan. The sooner Shannon is fired, the sooner the Canes can improve.
