Penn State is a big and powerful school. Incidents like this have a tendency to spread to other schools like wildfire.

What school is next ?

What was a 10 year old boy doing in the shower at Penn State college? If that's where he was when it happened to him? Why bring it up all these years later to hurt/tarnish Joe Paterno career?

And the morons of Penn State riot in the streets, not due to multi illegal military invasions costing trillions. Wall Street banking heist, Congressional treason and theft (both Demo & Rebub). Sustained Presidential electoral fraud, millions go jobless and with out healthcare and millions of foreclosures. But, what pushes these little morons over the edge, is the firing of a person playing the role of a Coach. Complicit in the cover up of child rape, simply INCREDIBLE!

Have you ever at age ten been A Raped? Like this young boy?
Who is tarnished here?Children are not for Sex..
they [ very few of them] even know what it is at that age]
To find out why the boy was in the shower to begin with[ and yes showers are for showering after sports activities not for a grown man to hop in and start raping in]

McCreary is one jack*ss in the story. How about that janitor? He's been in the jungles of Viet Nam, bombs, warfare, and couldn't even step his arse into the showers and yell "Hey, what the heck is going on in there?" I mean, how about just yelling at somebody in those showers? Stop sticking up for these enablers. Paterno KNEW, and he knew a lot. Paterno is just interested in Joe Paterno, and his wasted legacy. Have sympathy for these victims. No way is any child at 10 years of age, having sex with an adult-----VOLUNTARILY! Period! Sick people at that sports sector.

A true tragedy.
Since when is it proper to fire someone over an allegation; and an allegation that is not even worth investigating?

"Paterno is not a target of the criminal investigation, although Curley and Schultz have been charged with failing to report the incident to the authorities....
After meeting Tuesday, the board said it would appoint a committee to investigate the “circumstances” that resulted in the indictments of Sandusky, Curley and Schultz [NOTE that Paterno is not being investigated by the School board]in the scandal and alleged cover-up."

Exactly what should have he done? He received a partial account of a terrible act committed by one of his long-time associates -- Paterno still maintains that he he was not told about the “very specific actions” of the sexual assault -- and reported it to his superiors. How was he to know that the report was even true? How do we know, even today, that the report was true?

I am reminded of a similar situation involving some sttudents at Duke University some time ago. Does anyone besides me recall how that turned out?

TWO things he could've done. First: Don't let Sandusky near the Penn St campus. Secondly: Report him to the authorities, especially regarding his, what is it, The Second Chance camp? I mean, the guy's a pedophile, obviously. Report the guy, I mean, was that so hard? Paterno has no legacy any longer. He's tainted that.

This is just my personal feelings about Paterno. Every time I see him step out of his car or house, and he just relishes in the adulation of those college kids/fans, it makes me sick. Joe Paterno, even at this juncture, can only care about Joe Paterno, his "adoring" fans. It's sick. He can't fully comprehend the MAGNITUDE of this scandal. All he wants to concentrate on, is his record, or his legacy. Truly, he doesn't really care about what happened to those victims, and they are victims. You know, the college can't chance letting a loose cannon like Joe Paterno, spending the next two months, running his mouth, trying to "clean up" his legacy. That's all Joe Paterno would concentrate on, is his legacy. He's a sad human, and he's totally clueless.

This won't spread because these types of cover ups are already at the big schools with money making programs. Even a local Ivy League school the University of Pennsylvania got caught under reporting crime statistics-in the 1990s. College is a business. If you mess with their business they take it personal and act like the greedy selfish 'thugs' they are. Higher education my butt.

So, when somebody is accused of a crime he should lose his job without any investigation as to whether the accusation is true. That's a dangerous attack on people's liberty, don't you think?

Actually, JoePa did report the accusation to the authorities. Nobody has denied that. The issue, as far as I can tell, is that JoePa didn't question the authorities handling (or lack thereof) of the accusation.

Why bother to report such things to the authorities if you don't trust them to do the right thing? Why not simply ostracize everyone accused of pedophilia? Here's a start: I accuse YOU!
I don't have a name of the children you attacked. It makes no difference, does it? You are accused and that's enough. Go away and bury yourself.

Do you see how unreasonable you sound?
