Coach Paterno is classic old school. I do respect the fact that he has never been one to dodge the tough question. I know that his length of tenure coaching gives him a sense of security but he has been like he is for as long as I can remember. He is truly the last of his kind in college coaching. I also think he could take Tressel in a 40 yd dash today. You know it. I know it. The footage of him sprinting to catch the officials to rip azz is classic. In fact he could probably give Tressel a headstart. lol.

That 10 point underdog spread didn't motivate the Dallas Cowboys last week. Does Penn State have more motivating Cheerleaders?

I do like and respect PSU, Unfortunately the odds makers do know what they are talking about @ least 90% of the time. I do realize anybody can be beat at any time, but as we all see the odds are pretty high against this one happening. On the other hand you've got to keep the Purdue game last year in mind. The Buckeyes can't be looking ahead and get caught off guard, Cause I'm sure PSU will come to play. But can they stay with the Bucks for four qtrs is the question.

Yeah, that's why all those casinos and bookmakers lose money all the time.

Never said they are always right, but I'll be willing to bet (no pun intended) they don't lose as much as you seem to think. Take a look at the point spread and odds from week to week and I think you'll find they are pretty spot on for the most part.

I really hope that the team is not looking past Penn State. If any of them are it could jump up and bite them.

It would be nice for PSU to waltz into OSU and beat them in their house and watch their classless fans mope around. OSU are the most classless fans in the Big10.

Oh I think every school has their share of classless fans. But you're entitled to your opinion. And PSU could win this game as well as anyone else, It's happened before and I'm sure it will happen again at some point. But this years PSU team is not likely to do it. Just sayin.

Casino's and bookmakers lose money??!!!?? I'm pretty sure they make money, esp off the juice when they go 50/50. Its the people betting against them that lose the money...not the casinos.

I agree! Like the time that those fans beat up one of their own students because they thought he was a Michigan fan!

They're mad about a 17.5 point spread?

Ohio State is better than they were last year.
Penn State is worse than they were last year.

Last year, Ohio State won by 17. The spread seems fair to me.

Are you kidding? If they lost serious money, they'd be out of business. In the "old" days in Vegas, if a casino lost money, it also lost its manager to a new family member who could guarantee steady income. They make it hand over fist. They can afford to be wrong here and there, since their winnings pay for any loss 10 times over.

You haven't lived as a PSU fan until a urine filled bottle intended for an OSU band member accidentally hits you on your now yellowed head by mistake.

Among other things, Tyrelle Pryor is always motivated to beat PSU. Does't guarantee a win, but he does seem to want to beat his homestate school...the one who recruited him to play in the midst of all those angelic nittany lions fans, who leave church only to prayerfully reflect on football games and bless opposing fans with holy water and new Bibles.

I have a lot of respect for PSU & Paterno...and if those guys get motivated by point spreads...fine. I don't think they have the guns to beat the Bucks in Columbus this season...but you never know until they play the game.

GO BUCKS...BEAT PENN STATE!

(And for all of you cocky fans...what was the point spread on that OSU game against Wisconsin...or that Buckeye Fiesta Bowl win against Miami nearly ten years ago? Just enjoy the upcoming game...treasure these moments when we get to watch JoPa coach his final games... and quit yacking...none of us is doing the hard work on the field!)

And since the subject of "classless fans" managed to come up...while I respect PSU & Paterno, all too many PSU fans have accumulated a history of bad behavior with OSU (as Pam CORRECTLY brings up)...which was NOT started in Columbus.

Anyone in Blue & White who has a problem with The OSUMB ought to show the class JoPa demonstrates...instead of acting like childish punks when you're cuddled up and safe in Happy Valley. Let's see you pull that crap in Columbus!
