TUSCALOOSA -- Junior Greg McElroy took a huge step forward in his quest to become Alabama's starting quarterback, passing for 214 yards and four touchdowns in the Crimson Tide's first spring scrimmage at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
