If this kind of recruiting success continues, coach Lane Kiffin is not going to have anything to worry about at USC-scholarship reductions or not.

I don't get your hostility here. From everything I've read, Fitts has a reason to be a little upset. He's been a "rah-rah" Trojan commit for over a year now. He worked his butt off to graduate early, to forgo all those experiences of a high school senior in his last semester, and started making preparations to start up at USC in the spring, only to be told to stay home, come back in the summer. This is unfortunate and he probably feels a little betrayed. He's 18 y/o, I don't expect him to handle this with the maturity of a 40 y/o. He doesn't know about the "business" of college football.
The last I read was Abe Markowitz failed to submit a final correctly (he emailed it rather than submit a hard copy) and thus failed a class and thus did not graduate as was expected in December. So he's going to occupy the scholarship for one more semester, putting USC right at the 75 scholarship limit. McQuay committing was another factor. With USC losing its top three safeties (McDonald, Starling, McAllister), the coaching staff want McQuay and Sua'Cravens in as early as possible so they can learn the system. Unfortunately, Fitts faces a logjam at DE with Williams, Breslin, and Kennard ahead of him. Thus, it makes "sense" to have Fitts delay his enrollment, but I understand why he feels betrayed.
There's no hostility. I was merely amused at his horrible vocabulary. If we recruited smarter players, maybe we wouldn't have fools tweeting rude remarks about the host city of a bowl game. I'm not saying we need to recruit the same boyscouts UCLA does,(no offense intended, they're good kids). But we need to find a good balance between being a beast on the field and a good kid off the field.

Unfortunately, that's the vocabulary of today's youth. I blame the teachers and parents, because there was no way my teachers or my parents would have let me get away with that. Believe me, I am working damn hard to eliminate the use of the word "like" as every 3rd or 4th word in my kids' regular conversations. It, like, irritates me when, like, I hear the word "like" like really often, like, you know. GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

This!!!! A thousand times this!!!! Both of them should have been sent home before the game. What a slap in the face to the fine folks of El Paso.

They're ok, but they aren't any more or less "boy scouts" than other most other big programs. They have their problems as well.

True. I wouldn't mind having a team full of Dion Baileys, TJ McDonaldses, Khaled Holmeses, Robert Woodses, and Matt Barkleys.

"Like" is a favorite of mine, too! As is the word "random".

I know an elementary school ENGLISH TEACHER who said to me, "I'm doing fine. How about 'yourself'?"

Reflexive/intensive pronouns have very limited correct uses. That is not one of them. So, when a public school teacher doesn't know this, we can't expect kids to know it.

I laugh my butt off when someone says something such as, "Leading up the project will be Tom, Mary and 'myself'."

Even better: "If anyone has any questions, please contact Jane or "myself'."

Yes, those boys should have been sent home.

The kids UCLA recruits are a little different than USC's. RN and PC knew this. One of them said that within 5-10 minutes of talking to a recruit, they could tell which school would be a better fit for them.

Guys before we throw anymore "Fitts" over this, lets just wait and see where our Trojans stand. I have a feeling our signing class will land us always where we belong, the Top Ten!

USC - WE ALWAYS FIGHT ON

> Come on!!! You're not predicting a 2013 Pac-12, 2013 BCS National Championship, and a 2013 Heisman Trophy winner for the Trajons? Your road trip to El Paso must have been a real eye opener!
