Rarely have I seen such outright baffling play calling on offense outside the Bears. NU goes against a team that gave up 400 yards rushing last week - and they call a run 5 times in the first half. Then, up 3 with seven and a half to go, inside their own twenty, second and 5 - they call a pass play. and another incomplete pass on third down. WTF? Can someone please ask the coaches if this was some kind of brain cramp?

You hit that one right on the head. For the first two games they seem reluctent to run. They have one of the best backs in the Big 10. I don't understand the love affair with the pass. If they would establish the run early they could pass all they want. Passing to set up the run worked fine the first game but Nevada was spread on defence. either way they seemed flat, but I'll take the win. Go Cats!
