While sportstalk radio shows were besieged with calls and Internet message boards were simultaneously hopping with anticipation and speculation, the Kansas State coach was calmly explaining his recruiting motives Wednesday at the Vanier Football Complex.
Of the 32 prospects that signed K-State letters of intent, junior colleges produced a whopping 19, a number that seemed unsettling to some observers, particularly the recruiting experts.
