Ferentz's horrible clock/game management skills were exposed today. Would have been exposed in the 05 Capital One Bowl but Tate and Holloway bailed him out. Absolutely pathetic not to spike the ball there. It also should be pointed out that Ferentz didn't jump in on that close 3rd down conversion by Morse that was ultimately reviewed and reversed - should've had a quick QB sneak to avoid any review. Don't get me wrong, I love Ferentz but his in-game decisions need to be quicker and better. Inexcusable in a game of this magnitude.

I couldn't agree with you more. Even a high school coach knows that you spike the ball and save your timeout so that you can get one more play and then call time and kick the field goal. You hit the nail right on the head; absolutely ridiculous. Just like Ohio State last year.

Ferentz got exposed yet again. Once again a good team that is willing to take a risk can defeat a team that will never take a risk and everyone knows it.

As a qualified arm chair coach and quarterback, I find the coaching at the end of the game unacceptable. I also think the referees need to be brought under question for several missed calls and calls that seemed to favor Wisconsin. Like the missed clipping call on Claiborn. Guy blocked him from the back and side with an official looking and no flag. Was shown during the games highlights.

Wisconsin must of been willing to pay for their after the game steaks. Amazing how Beleima got in the referees face at the end of the half and how much more favorable they were for Wisconsin in the second half.

Don't like to see the Hawks lose but when you get stupid during a crucial game you deserve to lose.
