Woody used to say that you can get a team "up" for 2 or maybe 3 games a year. The Bucks just blew one of those on Purdue when it had been obvious, since preseason, that one was needed for Wisconsin.

I certainly agree with Bob's excellent point that some fans assume that tough losses don't mean as much to players as the they do the fans. Nothing could be further form the truth. These guys dedicate their lives to playing football for our enjoyment but also for their own enjoyment and the satisfaction of being as good as they can be. Speaking of empathy for the players, it is unforunate that that our injured players face such bitter disappointment. However, many of their replacements are getting a chance that they would never otherwise get .. at least not as soon ... and most of them are up to the challenge. Go Bucks!
