What happens if he is outstanding in those games? It could happen, and then would it be fair to sit him down when Terrelle ...

Oh, I'm sorry. I thought this was Ask The Experts. Then when you said Bauserman was the frontrunner, I realized the mistake. You obviously have never watched football.

Bauserman has been listed as the #2 QB for the last two years. I think Tressel watches enough football. Guiton completed on pass this season.

Bauserman why did he not transfer??? He could start at Meatchicken? He won't start at OSU if Tress is smart even if he is a Senior or we may lose to an Ohio school for the first time since NCAA football started!!! Yikes. I like Kenny 'G' as a mobile QB but Graham is a pure passer but for 5 games lets get the RB's some work and not worry about the forward passes? 3 yards and a cloud of dust! Missagain state got pounded by Alabammy and showed they can't stop the run so that is the only game everyone seems to worry about out of the 5. Me personally I would be worried about Miami in FLA but the fans never show up there for the games so buckeye nation can take over the stadium like a home game. Go Bucks!

I agree completely. If Joe Bauserman runs the plays we will be lucky to go 3-2 or 4-1.

Hi- Just curious what's happening with Duron Carter? If he's not coming back to OSU,'why not?' and where is he going? Thanks!

He wasn't offered another scholarship because his grades haven't improved that much where he is now and the team doesn't want to waste a scholarship on a guy who won't be eligible to play.

Even though I root for that other team up north, I live in Ohio and watch enough OSU games with my wife (She is a Buckeye fan)that I do know that Tressel has always been very conservative and has always played kids that have been in the system longer than freshman coming in. Unfortunately Bauserman will get his shot to prove himself until Tressel sees the light and puts in Guiton,Graham or even Miller( Braxton Miller will most likely redshirt) Pryor will not lose his job and will be the starter after his suspension. The problem you have now is Pryor now is rusty because he hasn't played in 5 games. So then, what does Tressel do. I believe that Pryor totally screwed himself and he should of went Pro. Because if Bauserman shows that he is really as bad as he is and Guiton and Graham step up and win some games, it will put more pressure on Pryor and considering Pryor will be rusty, I see Pryor getting back to himself by maybe the 6th or 7th game at best. And all this being stated by a Michigan fan. Dont get me wrong I hope OSU wins all there games this year, Now that Michigan is back to smash mouth football, I'm hoping we will be spoilers this yr for OSU like Bucky the Badger was last yr. But with what I have stated, its got to get some of you to really think hard that in reality OSU could be yikes 3-3 before the bye week.

Why would Pryor be rusty? Every team in the nation goes through an 8 month layoff without games. What will 5 weeks change? I'm not worried about these guys being rusty, I'm more worried about winning the Miami and MSU games because of Bauserman getting playing time. If they come out and play Guiton or Graham in the two big games, they have a good shot at 5-0. If not, you may be close with your 3-3 prediction.

Bauserman would be a different QB if he took most of the snaps in practice and the team is able to develop some familiarity with him.

You might be surprised at how efficient the team is with him back there. I think you'll see better fundamental execution on the field. Pryor's a different kind of player. He's an athlete you turn loose, Bauserman's a tradtional QB who manages the game. Get him up to speed and put the team onthe same page he's on and you'll be 5-0.

Ok all points that are being made are valid, but If Bauserman sucks up the field, I hope Tressel does the right thing and pull him before to much damage is done like a few years back at USC with Boeckman and Pryor. You better hope Pryor isn't rusty after sitting 5 games because you have two potential tough games without the Fradulent 5, which is Miami at Miami and Michigan State at home. But did you see where you guys are goin after Pryor and Company's suspension is up?......... You guys go to Lincoln Nebraska to play the Cornhuskers and then to Champaign to play Illinios, and the Illini always seems to play OSU tough every year. So OSU will have an early test on whether they are NC material this year.

Absolutely! If Bauserman takes his rightful seat on the bench and Guiton or Graham plays, I'm more worried about the 6th game of the season @ Nebraska than I am about the first 5 without the big players. I honestly think that even with no suspension, the game @ Nebraska would be tough. And then to turn around and play Illinois when they seem to play their best game every year against OSU is tough as well. This could be one crazy season with a lot of "barely wins" like the '02 NC season. I just hope that they can pull off wins in every game like they did that year.

In my opinion, Joe Bauserman is not the answer as the starting QB this fall. The only problem with Taylor Graham, again as I see it, is that he doesn't run well. However, I think he is a very good passer. As for Kenny Guiton, he seems to be to be the best replacement at QB as he is both a good runner and passer. Now, if Braxton Miller is as good as most believe, if he does well in the Spring, he could very well be the one. In my opinion, Kenny Guiton has not been given enough of a chance to prove himself. Maybe if he has a good Spring, he could be the one.
