Ohio State football: Offense owns the day in final scrimmage | BuckeyeXtra

Full story: Columbus Dispatch

If today's Ohio State spring-ending scrimmage in Ohio Stadium was any indication, freshman quarterback Braxton Miller has to be considered a serious contender for at least playing time in the fall, when the Buckeyes will face the first five games without suspended three-year starter Terrelle Pryor.

Here goes the QB hierarchy of who plays for the next "real" game. Miller and Guiton are a close first and second, leaving Graham in third and Bauserman playing dead last. Bauserman would never play unless all three qbs broke both arms. Bauserman, you have a few years to get your Social Security check.
Typical Tressel belittling Miller's accomplishments on the field during the press conference. That was the wrong QBs to belittle Tressel Pryor and Bauserman. You had better make sure Pryor and posses felonies and misdemeanors are erased beofre the Nebraska game. Tressel and his puppet Fickell and Heacock better get their s>>t together and figure out about how to stop opponents defensively in ball games or 50 points might have to be what it takes to win games this year. The Silver Bullets looked like the Silver Nerf Balls. OSU defense was Michigan weak defense.
P.S. Bauserman is it too much to ask for you to throw tight spirals in games since you been there for ten years now. If you don't have the tools to execute the game plan then quit this team and go back to baseball.

Fact: The Big 10 will NEVER own OSU but OSU will ALWAYS own the Big 10. You can claim Michigan does but since OSU has joined the Big 10 they have a winning record over EVERY team. The Buckeyes are here to stay so deal with it or jump off a building if you can't. No don't do that for real of course, I suggest getting a padded room instead.

Miller is definitely our man and I'd say if he brings us to a 5-0 record giong into Nebraska we leave him in. Bauserman should only touch the ball if it is thrown on the sidelines and it needs to be given to the ref. Our running game is SOLID!!! That Jordan Hall is awesome I'm excited about him.Our WR's ran good routes and made good catches, where do we keep getting that much talent.
I sure do hope our QB isn't running for his life this year, though. Tressel, before you came to OSU we were known for our O-line, do you forget to get the OLINE for playmakers? You can get both ya know. We should never be down to 9 OL's coming into a season, that's just plain foolish.
As for our defense, I really think it's because we weren't playing with the full unit. Our injuries we had last year gave a lot of these players time to start. Hines, Sweat, Sabino, Simon, Williams. THose guys are all very talented.

95000 in attendance at OSU spring game in 2009, 66000 in attendance in 2010, and 44,000 in 2011. See a trend. Tressel should go.
Raising the price of tickets and forecast of rain didn't help attendance.

It was a great day in the Horseshoe . Got see some of the young Ohio State Football players who will make an impact in the 2011 football season . The weather was wet ,cloudy ,overcast with a threat of a storm but the football Buckeyes put on a good show . The QB position battle was very interesting and it looks like the Buckeyes are in good hands for several seasons to come thanks to the Sweater Vest . It's only what ...132 Days till opening day on Sept 3rd vs The Akron Zips .. Go Buckeyes !

"The grand prize is the offense gets to keep the coveted scarlet practice jerseys until the next jersey scrimmage, midway through preseason camp in August."
I just picked up one of those Scarlet Practice Jerseys at Tats-R-Us for about $50. They make great Easter gifts.

I get what you're trying to say, but you're using the phrase incorrectly. Ohio state jumping the shark would be something like bringing in professional wrestlers to fill in the missing line spots in order to generate interest in the spring game.
Forcing fans to watch a lacrosse game was the shark, that and upping the ticket price.

I think this year may be the end of Ohio State football sellouts.

The NCAA, bowls, and ADs are out of touch with reality. There is no reason in the world for ticket prices to be where they are today. Well there is one reason, fans that put up with the price. This year may see the end of the not stop spiral up in prices.

The defense was clearly in control for the first 30 minutes. What changed on the defensive side that allowed the offense to roll (besides Hankins)? It just didn't seem like the same D unit that started.
