1 If they rush a lot and lose, they should have passed more! If they pass a lot and lose, they should have run the ball more! Overall, this team has played hard, and they have played above expectations. They are not a bunch of highly recruited kids, but have played with the big boys. Give them that! |

1 This was a wakeup call to UCONN fans! My feeling is that Cincy should have beat them as well...they just had an off game. |

1 Now THAT is REASLL college football. If UCONN wants to play with the Big Boys, it will have to get alot tougher than that! GO WVU! |

1 Donald Brown is a ridiculously good back, have you watched any other UConn games?!? The guy can really run hard and make people miss. He's doing this against opposing defenses that always prepare run-first against him. And what are you talking about w/ Cincy? They should've won? The final score was 40-16. Not much to argue. |

1 Lets Gooo - Yeah...right, West Virginia...in the race every year for the national title until they choke.. last two years South Florida, Pitt... they're a good team, but not that good, would'nt be a shock to see them drop two games in BE this year to South Florida and Pitt. |

1 Citizen, Donald Brown is a very good running back. He has excellent vision at the line of scrimmage that allows him to use his lateral quickness to hit the gaps on the first level. When he gets to the second level, he's more powerful than his 210-pound frame suggests and uses his stiff-arm as good as anybody in the country. When tackled, his leg drive allows him to fall forward and finish off runs. And his low center of gravity and balance make him difficult to tackle on first hit. To be a solid pro he'll need to make people miss a little better which will make up for his lack of breakaway speed. If he runs a high 4.4 at the combines, that's golden. But he'll likely be in the 4.5s which will scare some teams away. And Cincy couldn't match the UConn defense's athleticism, they looked overwhelmed at times. To say they had an "off day" is the same as saying UConn had an "off day" thus lost to WVU. You don't make sense, like Sally Dogs Russo and the idiot from the ATL who haven't said anything about football since they started trying to annoy fans. When you don't know the game, you just make noise. |

1 As I have said since the beginning of the season, UConn is not that good. Their schedule as well as their level of play proved it. Hey, if they are still looking for the right pieces for the puzzle at this stage of the game, there is a problem. Let's face it. UConn will be a nice regional team for the next few seasons. Look at the bright side, there are some nice recruits coming in that could make them more competitive. |

1 TURNOVERS: Five TO's are a killer. no way you overcome that! ADJUSTMENTS: Obviously WV adjusted their defensive approach after UCONN's initial success. The running game was no longer effective. No adjustments by UCONN in the second half? Way too many "3 and outs". MISSED OPPORTUNITIES: Dropped passes, not just the long ball to Moore, and momentum shifts to WV. WV: They are showing now that they are the class of the BE Conf. I am confident that they will "win out" and represent the Conference well in a BCS Bowl. They finally have all their players back healthy and are playing well on Offense and Defense. Who in the BE will beat them? |

"...snapped UConn's 11-game home winning streak and likely ended the Huskies' Big East title hopes."...WHAT?!?!...Big East title hopes?!?!?....BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHA HA! Isn't this the same team Temple took to OT???

All respect to Cody Endres, but this team cannot be looked at the same way when your 3rd string, redshirt Freshman is starting QB now. Every team has unjuries, but very few have them this extensively to the QB position. It's unfortunate. Now Butler is out out 4-6 weeks too.

UConn fans: Cheer up! UConn is an up and coming program. Much to be proud of in last 5 yrs. It takes time. Look at WVU before the arrival of Don Nehlen. They has losing records and played in a stadium smaller than my HS football field. UConn played very well in the 1st half, but WVU opened it up a bit in the 2nd half and the defense played much better. Coach "Rich Rod" turned into a Benedict Arnold, and Coach "Stew" is going through some growing pains from his VMI days. All in all if WVU retains a diversified balanced attack, and keeps the one-dimensional methodical predictable games it had against ECU and Colorado out of its gameplan, it should win the Big East handily. That's not because of Coach Stew, who blew the Colorado game with incredibly poor clock management to kick the game winning field goal in regulation, but because of the Big East player of the year, Pat White, and the accompanying crew of Jalloh, Devine, Sanders, Brown, Hogan, and Ivy. As for Coach Edsall, it looks like he's done a good job at UConn based on the winning records ... he sort of reminds me of my Army drill sergeant though.

So, Brown's over-rated. Let's look at some stats. He had 19 carries for 82 yards (4.3 yards/tote). Now, let's compare that to the speedy, Noel Devine. He had 17 carries for 60 yards (3.5 yards/tote). Devine was a 5-star recruit. What kind of rating did Brown have before starting for UConn? So, Cinci should have beaten UConn, but they must have had a bad game. They also had a bunch of T.O.'s, of which UConn took full advantage. Saturday, UConn had a bunch of T.O.'s, of which WVU took advantage. But, I guess it's not possible for UConn to have simply had a bad half. Ya know whut? U no make-a no sense. |
