Sharpley has been a class act in a troubled season. The team plays and responds to him. Wish him well and if the Irish were to pull an upset, he and the other upper classman deserve it. Go Irish!

Way to go fat charlie, that's the mark of a decisive coach-a genius no less-you've shown the depth of your incompetence by burning through these kids like there's nothing at stake. Why don't you try COACHING instead of panicking like the over rated sack that you have proven to be. Player development starts with recruiting but doesn't end there, but it is becoming increasingly unlikely that you'll be able to attract top prospects when they see how you've handled this years young men.

sd mike is right. I'm confident that South Florida never "out-recruited" the Irish, but they sure have a better coach. weis is out of his league trying to be a college head coach. He is destroying ND football. He was an offensive coordinator, not a head coach. He couldn't motivate a college player if his life depended on it. Time to do the noble thing, Charlie, LEAVE!

I think Weis should have gone to Sharpley righjt off the bat.Notre Dame should take a long look at Weis. I'm not too sure he is the man to lead the team back to prominance.
