Full story: TwinCities.com

The Vikings agreed to terms with 14 rookie free agents Monday, including one who is more famous than many of the players picked in last weekend's NFL draft.

Kemp won't make it. Hates to work. Won't listen. Sounds like we got some good catches otherwise!

I'd like to see Johnson stick with the Vikings. He appears to belong to the Chris Walsh balls out football cadre.

I like the Vikings draft. After reading the draft grades the Vikings recieved, I think Clifton Brown of Sporting News with his B Grade of the Viking draft was more accurate than the other Experts!! It almost sounds as the Vikings have the rejects of the draft. Don't think, that we all don't have some extra baggage we are carrying around. Some people are just more lucky than others. The main thing is to learn from our mistakes. I heard a saying, " Anyone can make a mistake, only a fool keeps making the same ones."

Only time will tell, but I think Percy Harvin will be fun to watch on kick/punt returns. He will make a good 3rd reveiver. I can't wait for September.

nice pick-up in Johnson. Tremaine Johnson is a guy who a lot of people said was the number #1 prospect of those not getting drafted. Ian Johnson would have been taken in the first 5 rounds after the 2007 season, if he would have come out. The offense in Boise State changed a bit where there was more ball distribution and he never complained. Great pick-up.

Was there any other fullbacks we could have drafted? We are stuck with useless Tahi, why can't we find a rookie?

Forget the fullback. Stick Peterson, Taylor, and Harvin on the field at the same time as much as possible. Would create a lot of screen, end around, reverse possibilities so that the defense can't sit on Peterson. Just hope that Chilly and Bevell are smart enough to see this.

...with a good Scottish first name!(although I think he's actually Black Irish)- I hope that they find him a spot on the team, really.

Tahi is the best excuse for a consistant 3 yard gainer when there's 12 yards to go.- Bevell & Butthead need him...

Yeah, you're a real football genius. Two unproven quarterbacks, 3 unproven offensive lineman out of 5 on the field, and you want to stick 3 skill position players out there who can't pick up blitzes?? That's the main reason they even HAVE a fullback!

Do me a favor - send your resume to Green Bay.

This is the worst sentence I've read in years. You'd think a writer could write and/or an editor could edit.

"Many of the prospects rated as late-round prospects, including Cooper, who played in a zone-blocking scheme in college, and Kemp, who has NFL-starter potential, according to Pro Football Weekly."

“wtf”

If that is the worst sentence you've read in years, you must be new to the topix forums :P

Hopefully a few of these guys stick around to shore up our special teams tackling...
