Notre Dame's shockingly close 20-17 victory over the visiting Purdue Boilermakers on Saturday afternoon brought about a number of symbolic winners and losers.

The final score being close doesn't bother me. NFD won because they found a way to win, good for them. I was worried about jet lag from the Ireland trip but the staff and players fought it off. Congrats, Lets Go Irish!

I would have liked a screen pass or two added in but I like the way we scrapped. I think Golic's days are numbered a RG. He just isn't very good. He never even got a hand on the purdues line unless they wanted him to because they were trying to clog holes. I hope they either work with him a lot this week or move to one of the more atheletic younger guys.
