Who knows who they will pick, and does it really matter at this point? If the NFL is in a lockout, how can they even think about having a draft? Too friggin' funny!!

I'm not sure who they will pick, but I GUARANTEE that Spieldope and co. will find a way to completely screw this up so we are stuck with no decent QB for another 3-4 years.

@PW Herman, I don't know about "screwing it up" as they have drafted Harvin, Peterson, Rice, Greenway, and many other solid players, I'd say they have drafted excellent in years past with really only one bad year (Williamson, James), which I think was not even Spielmann yet.

I think the one think the Vikings have done is draft well, the only miss being with QB, which is glaring, but the other picks have been excellent.

Not sure I would agree that the term excellent applies to the recent Vikings draft prowess. One could argue that Peterson and Harvin were no brainers at the time the VIkes drafted them. Greenway...maybe. Last year's draft was not good (at least not yet). And let's not forget the TJ's, Loadholts and Cooks. Some of these guys weren't even on other teams draft boards and they traded to move up to take them. How many mid round picks (the true barometer of a good draft) have turned into solid players for them? Not being sarcastic here, I really would like to know.

I would say to pick the best player. The window for this team is closed. Time to rebuild. Might as well do it right and take the necessary time. If a franchise QB is not there then wait. You can't force it. I'd love to get one this year but would rather wait than get another 5 year TJ experiment.

Ya, because they've screwed up so bad until now right? Peterson, Harvin, Allen, Hutch, Gerhardt.. 1 game from the Super Bowl. Yup, your not an idiot either. Spielman and his staff are some of the top talent scouts in the NFL. I swear, the worst, most uneducated Viking fans are right there in Minnesota!.. Get a clue assclown!

Last night, NFL Network covered the last 5 drafts by NFC North teams.

The Vikings led the division with 3 Pro Bowlers drafted: Peterson, Rice and Harvin.

They also traded for another, Jarred Allen.

Best drafts in the division. Go put on a pink dress.

you're all wrong...they're going to sign TJ to a 5 year contract, with Webb as a backup...then use the 12th pick to draft a loooonnnnnggggg snapper...that's gives us 2 mobile QB'S and someone who can do something with the ball...the rest of the pieces will fall into place and we are SB bound...buurrppp...GO VIKES!!!

Gone are the days when Brett Favre would stuff a banana or a rolled up sock down the front of his football pants to attract hotties in the seats.

Just to answer your question:
Edwards, Greenway, Cook, Griffen, Alison, Robison, McCauley, Rice, Guion, Sullivan, Jaymar Johnson, Schular, DeGeare, Sanford, Allen, Brinkly, Webb...

Some of these guys are still developing, were traded, or injured for a period. Some were also mis-used or not used by Klink. But these are all solid, high to mid picks that have or will make an impact in the NFL.(check draft grades) Whether with the Vikings or another team. And yes, I still say Webb will be a stud QB and the Vikings will feature him sometime in the near future.

Oh and I completely disagree that the Vikings are in rebuild mode. Every time a team needs a QB, everyone puts them in 'rebuild mode'. The way things have developed today with the lockout, it looks like some of the guys, Edwards and Rice specifically, won't be going anywhere. There's a good chance they won't be UFA this year. OLB, CB, LT (move Mckinney to other side), a Safety... Get a free agent QB.
Not exactly starting over here. WE have Adrian Peterson, Harvin, an underrated Shaincoe and alot of talented rotation. DeGeare will be a solid replacement for FatPat. Not buying it. Sorry.
And just my $.02.. I'd be looking at Julio Jones with that first pick. Berrians a wash.

We shouldn't even be thinking of drafting a quarterback. What will Favre think? He may not feel like he is wanted anymore, we owe it to Favre, to make sure he dosen't want to play anymore. One more year Brett, we can wait till at least August, enjoy the rest of the summer, then get here for the first game.
