Okay people, can we finally, for the last dang time, admit that UVA Football is completely mediocre? I think this clinches it, no excuses, no reasonings, just admit and sit back and wait for another year of losses so it doesn't sting as bad. Despicable.

I'm sure it does not feel like it now; but oh boy what a season. It takes a lot of guts to say to the nay-sayers, "you are wrong", then go out and prove it. Football, like all competitive sports, is a game of winners and loosers. And in the eyes of true fans the victors are not only judged by the final score of any one game. The determination of a true victors, is also judged by the improvement in any one season over another. It is a building process. I saw Saturday a gutsy group of young men go into a game with the stakes stacked against them. And they showed the word what they were made of.

I know a few thing about bravery, and building for success. Saturday night I saw a giant step in that direction. Cudos also to the supports. You are truly the 12th man. Being an old Brooklyn Dodgers fan, I know a little about: "wait till next year".

Young men, take the lumps and build on them. Don't forget them. Save them to deliver to the next player who is brave enough to stand across the line from you. Deliver that block effectively, then tell him;" That's a lesson I learned from Auburn". Put to use what you learned Saturday night and hold your heads high. Only the foolish will criticize you.

I'm with you.Yes,we lost.At face value,to people like "Laughing Ensued"or whatever he calls himself, that's all the proof he needs. What a shallow view of the game and the progress this program has made.I see more than that.
It would have been nice to win the Chic-Fillet(Peach)Bowl.I was dissapointed too,but I won't let that ruin what else I've seen this season.
I've seen improvement beyond my wildest dreams for the amount of time Mike London has been in control.I see hope for the future,a whole new direction for UVA football.I've seen the last of the days that UVA football is regarded as little better than Duke's program.I've seen hope in the eyes of the true UVA fans that support their team no matter what.
This past season,I saw Al Groh's #13 Georgia Tech defense humbled in Charlottesville.I saw the look of disbelief in the eyes of the Miami Hurricanes fans when they lost to us on their own field.I saw the same look in Tallahassee when UVA ruined the Seminoles homecoming weekend. To me,these three things alone made the season SO worth it!
UVA football may not be ready for prime time quite yet,but we have so much to build on for 2012 and beyond.I think Mike London's learning curve will be met,he's not coaching against William and Mary and Delaware anymore. When it all comes together,in 2012 or 13,UVA WILL be a power in college football once again!I believe it,and you can too.GO HOOS!

When was UVA football ever a power house? Seriously.

A power not a power house. Big difference. Under welch we had some very good teams that mattered in the national setting. UVA fans aren't delusional, we don't run around and act like a "Hokie" and think we are national champions to be every year. We are moving in the right direction and can get to the point where we will have a shot. I just hope that if we do, the lessons we teach our men matter and we will be succesful, unlike the boys from blacksburg. Only thing Tech gives its players lessons on how to act like fools, hell the damn kicker is so dumb he can't even stay out of trouble, whoops 2 kickers.
