I'm a miner fan but that was an embarrasing game to have the nation see. It's obvious the defense is terrible and wont be good again. Granted Houston has an explosive offense but it is usually through the pass and not the run. They did both easily. Even the back up quarterback was able to drive the team for touchdowns. Houston did not even have a punt the entire game.

It also looks like Utep can use some more conditioning. The commentatators were practically laughing at how the defense was struggling to run off the field when they got called for 12 people on the field when it could have been 18 as they said. Good news is Utep has an easier schedule the next 2-3 weeks and can improve.

OMG. Price did nothing with the defense again this year. UTEP will be going to the Sh*t Bowl once again. Shame. We are again the laughing stock of the nation in college football. Thanks Price you haggarded old a*s. What happened? Forget your bottle? lol

Please Miner Fans, just take this game in stride. Look at the side-by-side comparisons. We were just out-played by a better talented team. I think Coach Price was out-coached and the Team was out-played. Let's move on! The Cougars were sensational--just like they were in the Basketball Tournament Championship! We beat the Cougars last year--and we shouldn't have--but we did!! This year they beat us. Sure I'm ticked off that we lost, but we really put some numbers on the stat sheet. We really needed Buckram. Just remain faithful Miner fans-let's not rag on the Coach or Team this early on. Let's just slap them on the shoulder pad and say "Let's get ready for the rest of the season!"

Are you kidding?

UTEP's looking like a Division 2 school....or at the very least at the bottom of the barrel.

What a dang shame. So many missed opportunities. Not giving up until the season is over though. Still a Miner fan.

Dude, you act like this is any suprise. UTEP defense has been bad year in and year out!!
I don't know if it more about the conditioning or the technique that the secondary was using against the WR's. They were giving up BIG plays often.
But what I think what's more a slap in the face is the fact that Houston is a passing team, and they ran the ball at will without problem.
You could just tell who wanted it more.

I'm not trying to mock you, but I think you are just stating the obvious. There is no D in UTEP football.
But that clinis was in full display last night.

No heart, no defense, no receivers, kickers, and coaching.

What an Embarrassment to UTEP Alumni.

I haven't seen an embarassment since way back in 2009 when UTEP lost to Texas 64-7, or got swept 2yrs in a row by Buffalo!!!

Or when they loast 2yrs ago to Tulsa 77-35!!!

The writings on the wall....

Time to make a head coaching change at the end of the season if things don't turn around.

Get Mike Leach on the phone ASAP

Omg why does utep insist on being complacent with mediocre effort.. Fri night was a huge embarrassment, utep needs to consider moving to d II or setting up games with Katy and north shore high school teams they may have a chance. Defense was non existent, vittatoe threw more balls into the ground then to he receivers.. Not to mention the receiveing core have shit for hands.. Price needs to come up with a better condiioning program and find a new def corridnator... It's going to be another ling embarrassing year for the miners... WHEN'S MINER BBALL START ?
