how many ranked teams did OSU defeat in this year's "murderer's row"?

I give the buckeyes a B+ on the regular season.

Tress is 9-1 against Michigan. Thing of beauty.

I'd like to see Rich-Rod fired and re-join the Big East as TCU's coach. And have Gary Patterson come to Michigan since he can actually recruit talent on both sides of the ball. This kicking around of Michigan has been fun but Michigan has brought down the value of the conference.

I would love to see Auburn/OSU in the Sugar Bowl, but I highly doubt Auburn loses to South Carolina this weekend. I thought they would lose to Alabama but came up with a crazy come back and put them away. I see Auburn/Oregon in the NC as expected and us playing Arkansas in Louisiana. I like that matchup for the Bucks, as they have handled the spread defense really well.

Being almost blurry eyed after watching Big Ten, SEC and PAC 10 games this season, a few comments. Wisconsin. More than a few teams will be gunning for them next year. Getting even. Tressel is a gentleman. Wisconsin's Coach? Michigan State? They beat Wisconsin. Ohio State? Who was the last team to beat Oregon? Auburn? The best team money can buy. Stanford? Should play TCU in the Sun Bowl!
BCS? Drop the C and you have your answer. ESPN's Analysts? Only Holtz (A good Kent State product)is credible. Problem. They travel, but do they have time to see. Or, in other words, they believe then they see. Although it is not Politicaly Correct, Gee is right! I have seen therefore I believe!

Yes the Bucks beat Michigan and a lot of other teams. They still cheat at the game and I am willing to bet since I have hear things around campus that if they dropped blood test on at least 3 team members they will find something they shouldn't. Further more, If OSU had to play teams within there own league of the game instead of losers, There record would not be so good. Everyone says OSU is a great team and if they are so great why aren't they playing in the Rose Bowl?

The Bucks went from 51st in points per game to 9th nationally.
They also went from 68th to 20th in Total offense per game. And the defense is top 10 as always.

This is our best production as a team since 2006. Drink it up fans. It doesn't get much better than this for many teams. The difference this year is that the Big Ten is the strongest it's been for a while and we ended up with only 1 loss.

Not sure what you are doing around campus. Obviously, not taking English classes. The Buckeyes attempt to schedule one tough out of conference team each year. The cannot control the collapse of the Miami team that had high expectations this year. They will not play every team in the Big 10. All leagues with the exception of the Big East (8) teams and the PAC 10 (10 Teams) play similar schedules.

Please tell me that when you heard these things around campus you were not a student attending classes. Not only do your comments make no sense and hold no value, but your spelling and punctuation is atrocious. Hopefully you were the guy at the drive thru at Taco Bell when you heard these things.

Don't get me wrong as I'm a Buckeye through and through, but riddle me this: Which (deafeated) opponent had the best record this year?

Answer: The OU Bobcats who finished at 8-4. Everyone else on the schedule (whom OSU beat) were 7-5 or worse. Here's hoping for a quality victory in the bowl game!

Keep in mind one thing though. Those 7-5 teams were beat around by the top three in OSU, Wisky, and MSU. Take a look:

Illinois (only 6-5 team)--2 losses were to OSU and MSU
Iowa--2 close losses to OSU and Wisky (but a terrible showing against Minny)
PSU--2 losses to OSU and MSU and one against Alabama
Michigan--3 losses to OSU, MSU, and Wisky
Northwestern--2 losses to MSU and Wisky

So although it looks bad that out of the top 3 the next best team in the Big Ten has 5 losses, they were to two or three of the top three. Then those five losses don't look quite as bad.

Round up 85-100 regular students at any university (outside of Utah)and might find more than 3% with something in blood that shouldn't. Probably higher @ Cal Berkley...

Great year. I'll never be upset with 12 and 1. Especially if our 12th win is an SEC team.

The only junior who might think about trying the NFL would be Posey, but I think he needs to mature a little bit. Get through a season without any "highlight drops".

Not worried about the slow starts. With Tressel, the first quarter against a decent opponent is like round 1 of a 15-rounder.... Start throwing some combo's and getting aggressive after a round or two.

Tressel now has 10 seasons under his belt, and I would say Ohio State is the #1 football team during that overall 10 year period. Perhaps someone will prove me wrong with numbers, but I suspect the 10-year record is best in the nation.

This will be the 6th straight BCS bowl game for OSU. 9-1 record against Michigan. Superb.

And look at other national powers of recent years, and how they've fallen in 2010. Some in the audience would surely be calling for Tressel's firing if OSU had the 2010 record of these supposedly superior teams:

Florida 7-5
Miami 7-5
Notre Dame 7-5
Penn State 7-5
Michigan 7-5
USC 7-5
Georgia 6-6
Tennessee 6-6
Texas 5-7

Incredible, all the above teams are in the supposed "elite" of college football. Texas, USC, Florida, it was all we heard about. We OSU fans should appreciate the consistent excellence Tressel has achieved.
This is real change

You are so full of BS you can't see straight. You keep changing your screen name, and you keep posting the same BS time and time again. Go crawl back into your hole. Your predictions of doom and gloom for the past 5 years have fallen flat. A real man would be willing to admit when they were wrong. A weasel like you just keeps popping up with more egg on his face chirping the same old lies. You make accusations but never have any hard facts (or rumors for that matter) to back anything up. All NCAA athletes are subject to drug testing - here is a quote directly from the NCAA guidelines - "All student-athletes are subject to testing at NCAA championships and in conjunction with post-season bowl games. All student-athletes are also subject to year-round testing." OSU complies with this requirement or they would not be able to participate in post season bowl games (or regular season games for that matter). So your wish of testing 3 athletes is routinely exceeded on a weekly basis. What a POS you are.

What a loser - you want to dis OSU every chance you get by saying they are a crappy team. The last time I checked OSU was in the top 10 in all the polls. Guess that is not good enough for a loser like you. But then again, you would know very little of being ranked in the top 10 because you have probably been a bottom dweller for all of your life.

In checking the list of teams in the top 25 I do not find Florida, Texas, Southern Califonia Michigan and Cincinnati. Seems like several complain about Tressell ball being boring etc. Well for this 1966 OSU graduate, I kind of like his boring results. To Coach Tressell....Keep up the consistent leadership of The Ohio State University football program. Your class act is tops.

Good post - I agree! Only comment I care to make is to point out that OSU is #2 in total defense in the country. The defense this year is better than last years which we all know flat out won us several games. There is no other team in this country who have a better defensive record over the past at least 5 years than OSU. It really is striking how good and consistant they have been for a LONG time - they are our SOUL!!
NOT much recognition Nationally as to how much BETTER the Big Ten was this year and also how really good OSU's defense really is. The way to fix this is a great performance in the BOWL games for OSU, Wisconsin and Michigan State at least!

OSU Juniors to the NFL ...
TP - not nearly ready unless he plans on playing Tight End

Posey - you're kidding, right? routes not sharp, but too many drops, needs a break-out 2011

Boom - gotta love the guy, becoming a really good college back, but the NFL is a completely different story - look at Beanie

No, we won't lose any juniors this year.
