Bama will be history. Another LSU national championship. Bama lost the first game at home. They bumbled and stumbled all over themselves. LSU outplayed the tide making all the big plays in the game. Now LSU will put the icing on the cake with another national championship.

You need to go and count again Jr. They won them in 1925,1926,1930,1961,1964,1965, 1973,1978,1979,1992,2009. To me that's 11. Since 1905.

You too clowns go to the Division 1-A Football National Champions (1905-2010). And if you want to get technical in 1926 y'all split with Stanford, in 1961 y'all split with Ohio State, in 1930 slip with Notre Dame, 1964 split with Arkansas, 1973 split with Notre Dame, 1978 slip with Southern California. Looks like the great school that y'all love so much had lied. Sorry guys the facts are their just go look but y'all will not say it anyway.

If LSU counted Championships like Alabama then LSU has 7 and about to be 8!!!

1908 - LSU / Harvard / Penn
1935 - LSU / Minnesota / Princeton / SMU / TCU
1936 - LSU / Minnesota / Pittsburgh
1962 - LSU / Ole Miss / USC

LSU Chooses not to recognize those title because there we no Consensus or central form of deciding who would be National Champion. The AP provided that after 1936. There may still be some split Championships but there is a more organized fashion of deciding who the National Champion is.

The Simple point is there were many years that so many other teams had the same or better records, how could a team truly claim a title so proudly? For instance 1964 Bama 10-1, Arkansas 11-0... 1965 Bama 9-1-1, Michigan State 10-1... 1973 Bama 11-1, Notre Dame 11-0... or 1978 Bama 11-1, USC 12-1 (note Bama was beaten thuroughly by USC that year!)

These are the types of things we are talking about! Why or how do you claim a National Championship when you didn't have the best record or were handily beaten by the team you "Tied" with?
