Shannon has to go. He is an awful coach. He couldn't coach his way to beat a high school team.

He blows. This was a racist hire to appease the African American community and liberal elite.

They should go after Ty Willingham if they need a little color in the coffee. At least he is competent.

Maybe Romeo Cronell after he is fired!

I love how Donna Shalala (sp) came on w/ an infomercial on UM and said, "It's all about Da U", when UM was losing 14-0 LOL!!

This year, the Emerald Nuts Bowl...next year, the Gaylord Music City Bowl for Da U!!!

This coaching staff is horrendous when it comes to clock management!!!!!!!!! I am glad that they took their last time out with 12 seconds left on their own 45 yard line. This staff plays the game not to lose in every big game. I do not want to hear how good Shannon is as a recruiter because he also needs to take care of business on the sideline when the game is on the line. Nix is the worst OC in college football & once again he shows it when the game is on the line tonight!!!!!!

This was sad, as a long time fan this was a joke. Randy is over his head, nix needs to go to peewee league.

Can we find someone to caoch this team can the u be restored?

I'm not sure what us fans need to do but this was again on national tv and our coaches let us down. They looked lost in the last two minutes, and I think Randy must have thought Coker was still coaching.

Again what a JOKE I'm sure since we lost ESPN will show the game over and over again.

Sick I'm just Sick

What a horrendous coaching job and what an impotent offense they put on the field with players that appeared to be better than what the coaching staff is. And what was that at the end of the game with the clock management. Don't tell me they do not practice a 2 minute offense.

APOCALYPTIC... Shannon can suspend all he wants but he should also suspend himself and the coaches for what they put out there tonight against a team from California that had 1 player on offense basically and had a horror of a coaching team also and a terrible California Quarterbacking all night.

They tried to hand the game to Shannon and he just would not take it or at least his team, they way he prepared it, was not ready to take it. I saw a tremendous pile of garbage from the UM coaching this year and I am sure that Shannon is going to fix it all now by blaming it on the suspended players and on Patrick Nix the Scapegoat because a coach that goes out suspending people left and right better win when he suspends and for 2 years now Shannon has looked very Charlie Weissy ... in my opinion.

I SEE GREAT PROBLEMS FOR THIS MAN WHO RIGHT NOW IS A BLACK LARRY COKER OR WORSE BECAUSE COKER MADE ONE MISTAKE and that was to stick with Kyle Wright until the both of them destroyed the program but Shannon has looked NOT READY and his quarterback musical chairs and all of that just stinks to high heaven.

AND PLEASE DON'T TELL ME THAT THIS QUARTERBACK TONIGHT LOOK BETTER THAN A HIGH SCHOOL QUARTERBACK... playing sandlot ball without protecting the ball and allowing a slow linebacker that he is running away from to knock the ball from him ... and throwing the ball for grabs many a time. He could have had 5 interceptions easy if the other team had better hands.

This was not a good California team which was badly coached and badly quarterbacked!

DUBYA BUSH WAS COACHING THE UM OUT THERE IN CALIFORNIA... THEY LOOKED THAT BADLY COACHED!!!

THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR WHAT TOOK PLACE THERE IN THE LAST 4 Minutes or so from the scrambling sand lot play allowing a guy to knock the loaf of bread from his hand near his own end zone. WHAT FREAKING CRAP FOR BRAINS IS THAT... then the Marx brothers of clock management and the dink and donk offense when you have to go down the field ..... this QB who was heralded as someone who had to play as a freshman, well, he looked like a high school mentality out there and has no vision for his defensive coverage at all.

NO DOUBTS HE WILL GET BETTER BUT THAT IS ALSO WHAT THEY SAID ABOUT KYLE WRIGHT. But why should he play and take away time from the other guy who was in fact sharper and more polished.

Shannon should look in the mirror and suspend himself for a while, like hide under the mattress for a few weeks because to make me spend a Saturday night to watch that lame effort. Shit, I am not sure that President Bush was not coaching and lame ducking that UM team out there tonight.

What is wrong with this statement " We just wanted a shot to win the game at the end" Coach Shannon on his radio show after the game. How many times have we heard this from Randy Shannon this year? I do not hear any other Division 1 coaches with this mentality after any big game. This staff coaches their players not to win but not to lose the game. This program is going nowhere with this staff & if you can not coach this young squad at crucial times who cares how you can recruit!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, and I also heard that many times from Wannstedt after Dolphin games that he managed to lose when every other coached would have won it. That is Wannstedt even in the QB's that he went with, instead of going for a winner he wanted a manager of the game so that he, Wannstedt, could win it at the end with defense of by a miracle. No sir. If any game was winnable it was that California game tonight and it was like watching a baker baptism's torture in the Arno River during the reign of Lucrecia Borgia's corrupt family.

Another great showing from the mental powerhouse combo of Shannon and Nix. Great clock managment, are you F**king Drunk? How about a few more runs up the middle or to the short side of the field or maybe Jacory could throw a few more dead ducks up there. Was he having a little contest with himself to see how high he could throw? Did anyone inform him that in NCAAF there are 60 minutes , not 48 like he referred to in his pregame quote?

Did it occur to either of your stupid a$$e$ to let Marve ever play ONE, 1, ONE complete half of football this year?!!! To all of you fans who thought Jacory was clearly a better QB, please go punch yourself in the face for me...he blows

I never thought in all my life I would be happy the CANES lost a game but this crew makes it easy. Youve been exposed on national TV as being TOTALLY 100% INCOMPETENT - just as INCOMPETENT as SHALALA in allowing the friggin OB to be torn down. One of the oldest stadiums in college football, filled with history, mystique, and championships. I hope you all lose your jobs in 2009 - good riddance.

Whats next, Maybe next year we can make it to a bowl game played inside a tetrahydron shaped field with red artificial turf and both teams can sit in bunkbeds in one endzone and the game will be officiated of retired geriatric AARP crew of illegal aliens...

HAPPY NEW YEAR MOTHERF$$ERS...also, learn to tackle...THE END

Fair Hooker, Nice to see you are still here.

Have you heard the story about randy Randy telling a Miami Herald columnist that his "good friend", Walter Odom, a former Florida tight end, died in Gainesville as the result of "injuries". This story was supposedly told to portray Gainesville as a dangerous area--as in Dade County DANGEROUS--in which to live. When it was pointed out to the interviewer that Walter Odom, randy Randy's "good friend", had REALLY died in Dade County after a long illness--Well, the interviewer was a tad aggravated.

What does it say about the character of a man IF he was to inaccurately portray the events of a friend's death to attain a recruiting edge??

Randy can wear that stoic, tough guy, detached expression all he wants, BUT he still couldn't coach his way out of EVEN Larry Coker's stroller.

Randy, Hope to God that Northwestern High School does not get decertified by FHSAA, or you are THROUGH!!

It's clear now that Shannon does not have this program going anywhere. Struggled to beat Duke & Va. Lost to NC State. They are an embarassment. That was as bad a display of football in every phase as you can ever imagine. They look uncoached. Nix should have been fired just for the last 4 minutes. How can he expect to recruit anything with that sorry hunt & peck offense and stagnant defense.
