the offense stinks whether they are young or veteran. tressel and bollman need to give it up to someone else. either they recruit the wrong guys or fail to teach the guys. it is a struggle year after year.

Making OSU a 40+ point favorite is silly. Just wait and see for yourself.

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah...

All we hear day-after-day, week-after-week, month-after-month, throughout the whole season is:

1) JT stinks at play-calling, but will never give it up - ACCEPT IT!

2) TP is still learning the position from a coaching staff that knows little about bringing up a QB, especially one with the talent TP has. JT controls the coaching staff - ACCEPT IT!

3) The offensive line has been horrid over the past few years despite top-notch talent being recruited to play there (Beanie masked a lot of deficiencies). Who's to blame? The OL coach (Bollmann) is. Who has the ability to replace him? JT does. Will he? No - ACCEPT IT!

4) We consistently get outcoached in big games because JT is so scared of the opposition, he loses sight of how potent the offense could be if he opened things up a bit (if, as TM would say, the OL could block). Will JT change his style? No - ACCEPT IT!

What is the basic theme here? Well, it's fairly simple. Either you ACCEPT things as they are and cheer for your Buckeyes (not JT or the coaching staff, just the players) or work to get him promoted to Asst. AD or encourage him to run for office in the State Senate. This is the only way things will change here at tOSU.

Good luck OSU players the next three weeks! You're gonna need it...

OSU has nothing to gain by scheduling teams like New Mexico St.If we win by 40 everybody yawns,so what.If we don't win by 40 questions continue about the lack of offense. My theory is simple. If their is no way to get a competitive game why not schedule another state school for us taxpayers and keep all the money in Ohio.

You can worry about Penn State, but forget about JoePa. He's been "Head Coach Emeritus" for quite a few seasons now. Its obvious that he has very little if any say-so of any part of that team. Do you ever watch him on the side-line of a televised game? He stands there all by himself, without any headphones on, with his hands stuffed in his pants pockets staring up at the sky or bleachers. He comes out of his stupor only when the fans start cheering or booing about something on the field. Then he walks over to his OC or DC for an explaination. You can even read his lips: "What happened"? After they tell him, he shakes his head up and down, then walks back over to stand alone again. I feel sorry for him. The man doesn't have clue#1 what's going on! I really feel sorry for all the assistant coaches doing ALL the work and JoePa gets the credit as head coach for these wins (and losses). Did you ever catch one of his post-game interviews? Gives answers to questions that weren't even asked, goes off on long speeches, then stops and asks the reporters "Excuse me, what was the question again". I'm embarrased for him. Someone in administration has to put a stop to this farce. At least Bobby Bowden's mind is still on planet Earth.

Er uh Tim... Marty Schottenheimer said "There's a GLEAM men, there's a GLEAM." Not 'Glimmer' but we get the point.

Denny, thanks for the humorous comments on JoePa. I suspect Penn State will leave him in as a figurehead even if he's 95 years old and can't remmeber his name some days. There are a lot of folks in Columbus Ohio that would love to see Jim Tressel replace the offensive coaching and QB coach, and delegate offensive playcalling for the benefit of the players and fans.

For OSU fans, their entire little world revolves around Michigan. If Tressel beats Michigan each year, regardless if Michigan is in such a state of disarray that they have a losing record every year, no matter; Tressel could lose 95 of 100 games to highly ranked opponents and Bowl games, which seems to be the kind of record he's shooting for these days, and the "ah jest wount to beet Meechegan" stuck in the 60's genuises are happy if they can keep smelling the Woody Hayes farts.

Despite OSU being one of the biggest and best funded schools in the Nation, Tressel refers to other big schools with winning programs as "big dogs" and seems to hold them in awe. His thinking, hiring of coaching talent and game time strategy, all have Division II thinking written all over them. He doesn't seem to have what it takes to think and compete at Division I level, so at least Penn State has a leg up on OSU in that regard. OSU's recruiting will continue to stay at the top of the charts, and their results in the biggest Nationally televised games will continue to underwhelm.

I will deviate away from whatever crap the article is/was talking about....as a National Power OSU STINKS You cannot tell me that OSU does not have the same amount of Talent as Oregon or Washington...Yet these teams were able to beat USC. You cannot tell me that the Talent at Washington or Oregon is better than that at OSU....How is it that Oregon at home with a 7 pt lead went for a 4 and 3 and made it against USC, with a bubble screen play....Come on...the Offensive Coaching staff at OSU...is Garbage...all that Trick-a-ration Crap against New Mex st is garbage...where was that against USC?...I applaud teams that show up and beat so called Top notch teams...Great Job Oregon you guys showed Balls...and the offense was great...and i hope OSU wins out so that Oregon can Rape (sarcastically) You guys...wait Oregon is not USC or FL or TX or AL...OSU might pull one out the hat...i forgot...they cannot play and beat Great schools but Oregon and others can....what a Joke Tressel needs to go on You Tube and look at all the offensive plays that lead to touch downs, by the great schools including Oregon and Washington and put it in his play book and get rid of his crap....
