What's with Terrelle? It seems he has digressed thru the season. Ever since the Rose Bowl last year, he has been just a little better than average. If he can't improve, why come back next year? Let him develop in the pros. Is it possible that he has put feelers out and found out that he is not pro-QB material.

Buckeyes' offense needs to be consisently aggressive from snap one, and the tone must be set from snap one with TP running with the option to pass and calling his own designed QB run. Defensive coverage of TP's receivers will break down because he runs - he must run for us to win and dominate. We wanted TP because he could run, and boy can he, but he needs to run and run consisently to free his receivers. PLEASE Tressel, let Terrell run and the backs and receivers will have a field day against Iowa & Michigan and any other team the Bucks face. Seems to be working quite well for Oregon and Michigan with their QB's running.

Someone else pointed out to me an interesting point of view the other day. They asked if maybe TP is trying too hard to be perfect. Although he didn't play well as far as passing last week, he has improved greatly this year over his first two years. You don't get to be 5th in the country in QB rating, throw for over 2,000 yards, 22TDs and 8 INTs, and rush for over 500 yards and 4 TDs by getting worse. I don't care who you play. He hasn't been consistent, but he is also the guy I want behind center when it comes down to it. He will come back next year because he and the coaches and true football analysts can see the progress he has made from year to hear. Heading into this week he was still on the Heisman radar, which has nothing to do with hype at this point in the season. Preseason yes, now no. So you take a guy that is going to break records for OSU all over the place, bring him back for his senior year with a guy like Herron who is establishing himself as a great back now that he gets all the work, and who knows what he could become?

What is the matter with the Buckeyes??? What is the matter with May and Gordon?? Come on guy's, enough with this politicaly correct crap. tell it like it is or say nothing at all and find some other line of work. Our current qb stinks, period, and he is not going to get better. Tressel is begining to stink because he will not play (on a full time basis) the best players. Play the guys who get the job done. If an upper class player cannot get he job done, BENCH HIM. They are there but tressel will not play them. Prior is BAD. Don't sugar coat it. What the heck are you affraid of. DO YOUR FREEKING JOB. Are you on tressel's payroll??????? We are going to get bounced...real bad on Saturday...just like in Madison. Quit being PC.

My take on the buckeyes is a bit different. I am convinced the problem is a coaching problem. The schemes appear to be badly designed and lack flexibility for a rapid change on the fly. Let me support my position by starting with the NC game in the desert against Fla. There is no doubt the Buckeyes were the best team, however after the kick off return, they turned into scared 19th graders against a less talented team that was prep[ared, ready and motivated, The next game against LSU,same thing, USC in La same thing.Wisc ,Illinois, and The last game all started out the same way, we woke up in the the second half of all three after the coaches finally changed the schemes, but Wisc had more ability than the Ilini and PSU and we failed to overcome our shortcomings. We have the talent and ability, but must use it to its full potental for the full 60 minutes. Playing like every play is a take it or leave it play like we have will not give us the desired results. TP needs his butt placed on the pine at times for his selfish attitude. W/O a qualified QB coach he will continue to struggle in reading defenses and finding the open receivers.

Coaching does not have anything to do with TP over throwing Receivers, and making poor decisions. The same thing he did in the first half of the Wisc game. He did not step up his game when the buckeyes needed it. Lets face it, TP will just can't get the job done under pressure. Lets not sugar coat it. He says all the right things but talk is cheap. The defense and the running game won this game. Unless he improves the buckeyes are in for another year of hoping he improves and steps up consistently in bug games.

If Pryor is so bad why do you see this:

http://collegefootball.rivals.com/viewcfse.as...
#7 in the college football QB power rankings on rivals.com

http://espn.go.com/college-football/statistic...
#5 in QB Rating on espn.com

http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/play...
#16 in QB player rankings on cbssports.com (Kellen Moore is #14 and Luck is #10...different formula all together)

http://football.about.com/cs/positionalrankin...
#6 in NFL draft QB rankings as a junior

He isn't the best QB in the country like he was recruited to be, but he is also in the top 20 in every ranking across the country and top 10 in just about all of them. So as frustrated as you can get when he has a down game, remember that he makes things happen with his feet that a pocket passer wouldn't. When the O-Line is underperforming, a pocket passer would get it handed to him while Pryor has made something out of nothing. People jump all over him, but without him we would have lost more games in the past couple years then we have.

Pryor is improved but his play still is lacking. Further he has never played well against teams that could bring pressure! I personally don’t think he grasps or “reads” quickly enough.
Putting up points and padding stats against Marshall, Ohio U, Eastern Michigan, Indiana, Purdue and Minnesota this year, proves little.

In other words, the Buckeyes better be ready for Iowa because they can play some D.

If you think he is so good then why did OSU lose the Wisc game. Sure he may have won some games but not by passing the ball consistently. This team can be a lot better if he played better. His mechanics and decision making are still poor. But the buckeyes will never win a NC title and have a UPSET win until he improves in those areas.

I think TP's problems are partly his own shortcomings and partly the play design/play calling. As someone noted the middle of the field was wide open on most all pass plays and we never threw a pass over the middle. The three play sequence at the end of the first half (after our big stop of PSU on fourth and one) was ludicrous and beyond belief. We won this game in spite of some very strange playcalling and TP's being AWOL except for a few runs. We were 200% better than PSU as we have been most of the teams we have played so far. I just know if we are 200% better than Iowa. Two very positive aspects are Herron's booming runs and the development of our young defensive backfield. Go Bucks!

Just like they got blown out in the Rose Bowl by the heavy favorite Oregon last year. Your posts concentrate on negatives and ignore any positives about the team or individuals. Just another blogging hater. Get a life.

Clearly it was because he allowed the kickoff to be returned for a touchdown and then couldn't stop the Wisconsin running game!

For the record I agree that his mechanics are poor and his decision making is average at best. However, most college quarterbacks have deficiencies and he brings other qualities (his ability to run) that make him our best quarterback even if he's not at the level we had hoped. Bottom line is that Ohio State doesn't have a better QB to insert in his place.

TP hasn't regressed,he never has been a good passing QB and never will be.He had 266 yds and 2 TD's against a Oregon team with a inadequate secondary.I hope that isn't the new standard for a great QB at OSU.

Take away the stats against the cupcakes and he is terrible.Look at his numbers against Miami,Wisconsin and PSU and you see the real TP.Iowa's secondary will give him fits on Saturday.

TP has to come back and make a HUGE improvement in what Earle Bruce and Art Schlicter describe on 610 as "the ugly ball that he throws" if he plans on playing in the NFL.There is no market for a running QB with below average passing skills in the NFL.Look at the struggles Vince Young has had in the NFL and he's 100X the QB TP is.

I guess some Bucks fan just lie to themselves about players if they wear the scarlet and gray.I have 3 Buckeye fans in the house and all of them agree with me because they watch the games. My wife covers her eyes when he drops back to pass he scares her so much.OSU would have been in the BCS NC game last year with an average QB.The only thing that TP is good at is running the ball, and he's excellent at that.

Without pryor osu would have more than one loss. We lost at Wisconsin because we couldn't stop the run. Pryor brought osu back to within 3 points in that game, but the defense couldn't do anything. Starting the game by giving them a td right off the bat was not pryor's fault. I hope u didn't want bauserman starting over pryor all this time.
