What a joke! Georgia Tech was probably the worst BCS team I've ever seen. Of course a team with a above average run defense is going to beat a team that can't throw the ball at all! Hawk fans are rejoicing like they won the national title. Gimme a break. Any other team in the BCS would have smoked Iowa. G tech was the product of an extremely weak conference. I know it means alot to win a big bowl like this, but don't go thinkin the Hawks are that good. Get a nonconference schedule and see how good you are. I'm tired of teams duckin other good teams, just to pad their record. Iowa will do it next year. Preseason top ten team, weak nonconference schedule, and then wait for one of the ranked teams that actually play someone to lose. Then they will choke again..........

What a first class team that plays TEAM ball! I'm normally a ACC fan, but I was very impressed with the Iowa team and coaching staff, every one of them conducted themselves in a professional manner, it showed and paid off. Great Game!!

It is obvious you must not no much about football or have been living in a bubble. Iowa almost beat Ohio State and would have if Ricky Stanzi wasn't hurt. Ohio State beat Oregon that was suppose to be so tough. Iowa can play with anyone and will be back next year with an awesome team.

I'm a Cyclone and I couldn't be more impressed with the effort the Hawks put on the field against Georgia Tech. There are four or five other BCS teams that the Hawks would have beaten last night had they been playing against them. Their defense has so many quality players, it is difficult to come up with a game that attacks a weakness.

On offense, they have a pro-like mindset in the way they just brush off adversity and keep moving forward. A pick six in college is devastating to momentum, but the Hawks just don't let it rattle them and stick to their plan.

What was that line in Band Of Brothers? "Salute the rank, not the man"? I think that in this context, that line applies to you, Steven of Ames.

This WHO staff writer needs to learn how to write! His verb tense usage is atrocious, and he needs to look up how to use punctuation!

Big Ten wins both of their BCS games, as for all the announcers and the rest of SEC, ACC, and PAC-10 lovers..........I never thought I would say this but go TEXAS!

Really, that means a bunch from a team that squeaked by Minnesota. Sorry you couldn't afford the legite University. Ames is a good place though, had a ton of fun there...lol.

LMAO! Iowa wouldn't stand a chance vs LSU on a decent football field like they had last night at the Orange Bowl. LSU is much better than Georgia Tech! We beat them last year 38-3; and we would've done it again, that is, if we had a football field that a bowl game is supposed to have ready for the teams. The Capital One Bowl ought to be ashamed of themselves......1st for the Citrus Bowl field conditions with Miami and Wisconson, then with LSU and Penn State. On a field that a bowl game should be played on, Penn State wouldn't have had a chance. Our athletes are too special on a decent field. No matter what, LSU would also tear up Iowa in a heartbeat! LOL

Congrats Hawkeyes on a great season and great bowl game. Cyclones also had a better season this year and a bowl win. why do cyclone fans have to be so bitter. has anyone noticed how the hawkeyes handle theirself? Their character, sportmanship show above and beyond a lot of teams i have watched recently. whenever georgia tech got a good tackle or the touchddown there was the showboatin the rub it in your face attitude, and then the late hit to stanzi personal foul, and the player acted like he did nothing wrong why are you charging me with this penalty?I like the attitude our hawkeyes play with very well rspected! GO HAWKS
