In the Monsoon that was Philadelphia the Huskies slugged it out and got out of it with a win.
They will need to step it up in the coming weeks, but older UCONN teams would have lost this game, the last two seasons they find a way to win which at the end of the day is all that matters.
Ohio St, struggled at home in nice whether vs Ohio today. Virginia struggled against Richmond, the key is to win and UCONN did that today.
2-0 and moving forward, let's SELL OUT the Rent on Saturday night for the Cavaliers, Go Huskies Go!

They barely squeaked past an inferior opponent thanks to stubborn play by the defense but the offensive game is still too one-dimensional and relies too heavily on Donald Brown. He had an outstanding game, but c'mon, can one guy carry us through the entire season? Apart from the overall sloppy play, the biggest disappointment continues to be the inconsistent performance of Lorenzen. At this stage of the season, Randy needs to think about putting the ball in Zack's hands to see what he can do. Maybe some time on the bench will help Tyler sort out his head demons - or whatever is behind his sub-par play.

They are going to get blasted when they get into league play. Temple in overtime? What a disgrace! The Big East is a second rate conference at best. West Virginia & Cincy got there doors blown off and UCONN barely beat a horrendous team. I can't wait for all of the UCLOWN faithful to tear me up.

No need to tear you up, you're clearly ignorant!
Is Ohio State a bad team, cause Ohio is picked to finsh 9th in the MAC and they struggled for 3 1/2 quarters at home in nice weather?
Know you facts, do just bloviate, cause you want to be a typing tough guy!

What do you want me to do? Challenge you to a fight? Who is the clueless one here comparing Ohio State to UCONN? Get with program. The Big East is a second rate conference like the MAC. Them being included in the BCS is a joke.

He isn't comparing Ohio State to UConn. He is comparing the UConn/Temple game to the Ohio State/Ohio game. Temple supposedly vastly inferior to UConn, Ohio supposedly vastly inferior to Ohio State, and both close games. It's the hypocrisy of the reactions he's challenging. Ohio State wins by a slim margin at home (compared to the margin they "should have" won by, and you don't even know how good Ohio's going to be) and it's, "they survived a scare". UConn wins by a slim margin on the road over a team that really isn't that bad, and it's "they barely beat a horrendous team". In a game you knew would be low on offense because of the weather, no less -- of course the margin's going to be low.

Thus, I would like to ask you to point out exactly in his comment where Ohio State's football team is compared directly vis-a-vis UConn's football team, where he suggests that UConn football is as good as, or close to the level of, Ohio State football, because that's what you're suggesting. Please show me.

Then again, you DID call the university "UCLOWN", so who am I to question your vastly superior logic, knowledge, and opinions? Oh no, wouldn't call that clueless. You sold me on the UCLOWN comment. Your blatant biases against this program are as apparent as your ignorance of it.

Let's go, Huskies. Good win. Let's see you guys beat the 'Hoos on Saturday.

Temple vastly inferior to UCONN? Good God, you really are clueless. Temple should have beaten them last year and again this year. You really are drinking the UCONN kool-aid! I have some water to sell you in the middle of the Sahara!

I'm not for one second comparing the BE to the B10, the B10 is a better more proven conference top to bottom, but your comments clearly show that your either a discgruntled BC alum an ACC fan or just know nothing about College Football.

You still have not answered my question or that of the other person who asked you the same thing, what is the difference?

Ohio State, who is a Top 5 team, squeaked by Ohio (a MAC school) at home, in perfect weather.

UCONN, who is not a Top 5 team, squeaked by Temple (a MAC school) on the road, in a monsoon.

Ohio State is significantly a better team than UCONN, however to say UCONN sucks cause they beat Temple in OT shows pure ignorance, cause at the end of the day it's all about record and right now UCONN is 2-0.

And in regards to you questioning the BE's BCS birth: I believe the back to back tail whoppings our conference champ put on Oklahoma and Georgia respectively is proof enough. The ACC and there lack of top teams (only 1 in the top 25) and no BCS wins lately, is clearly worse.

It must be embarrassing as the ACC fan you are to know that your conference attempted to raid our conference and your much worse for it than the Big East is?

Who ever said I was an ACC fan? I just love getting under the UCONN fans skin who think they have an up and coming big time football program, which will never happen.

Soooo, you're just ignorant and jealous!
Gee Fred, you sit at home in Guilford, probably weighing in at a brisk 350 and spend your days trying to get under UCONN fans' skin? Sounds like someone needs a life or more likely you need to find your way out of your parents basement.
What happend? Mom put up the parental filter so you can't spend your day with your hand down your pants watching porn anymore?
Seems like if your not an ACC fan, than you are a BIG LOSER! Although if your the ACC fan I know you are, being a LOSER is common for you!
Now we all know who to ignore, natural selection I say!

Fred, it takes a lot to get under my skin. At the end of the day, I go home to my wife and child and UCONN season tickets and have a great day, you?
You're a sad, lonely, human being. I'm probably the first human contact you've had in a while.
It's OK though, you'll get that promotion to jizz mop monitor and move on out of mom's house soon
