Randy should have been first team All-American, period!
As usual the sports pundits, and media show their east Coast bias!
The NCAA has zero credibility with me!
They got their media darling Duke in the final four! This Puke team looks like a typical 1950's all white team! What gives, can't coach K find good black ball players anywhere in Carolina or anywhere else in the USA?
What happened to mighty Kentucky? Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha... everyone had these fools winning the NCAA, ha,!!!
So much for all the media hype they got, huh?
Maybe Calipari thought he didn't have to cheat!
Kentucky's loss made my entire NCAA tourney!!!

I think the way Culpepper played in the last two big games of the season showed why he was only honorable mention. Put your utep bias aside and face reality. Culpepper was unable to lead his team when it counted. Couldn't make the shots, couldn't make free throws, and committed crucial turnovers. Hopefully he can mature a little next year.

Coach K looks for kids who can play AND GRADUATE. Taking real classes and all. That is why the team isn't all ghetto. Duke basketball is a credit to the NCAA and the term student athlete means something there. I hate seeing a press conference and the person opens questions to the student athletes and you just cringe at the answers because it's clear the "student athlete" doesn't have any intelligence at all.

As for Randy, the kid is selfish and lazy. He want to play in Europe because he can't see down the road. Get a degree and get another year under his belt. Instead he wants to get paid right now and not have to go to class. His undisciplined play cost the team in crunch time.

I'm a current El Pasoan and a North Carolinian by birth. I learned about basketball by listening to Duke and ACC games on the radio in the 1990s (yes, the radio). I think everyone knows that Coach K runs a classy program and recruits PLAYERS, not races. He's had more diversity among starters in the past and will in the future. Talking about his team's racial make-up is silly. Talk about its accomplishments, and the accomplishments of the white boys from Butler who beat us as well. And UTEP's team is far from ghetto, and neither is any other team that consiss of all black or mostly black players *just because* of their racial make up. Ghetto is an attitude, not a strategy. All that matters on the court is that the fellows are ballers.

Now if you want to talk about the diversity of UTEP and Duke's general student body, go ahead and bash both for being homogenous.....

I have Randy Culpepper as a friend on facebook, he never ever mentioned about going to Europe. He is not lazy and selfish, stop trying to demean a person you have no clue about. Ignorant motherf**ker.

Did you even see any Miners games? No doubt Culpepper is talented, but he is not as good as he thinks he is. Why do you think Barbee left him on the bench during a crucial time during the Butler game. Maybe he should try Europe cause I don't see him as having nba talent.

Of course it stands to reason that the white minority folks will defend Duke and their coach!
Ghetto? That really says tons about your bigotry!
Kansas, North Carolina, BYU, they're all cut from the same cloth also!
You can deny all you want, but the proof is in the pudding!
Southern states, that's all I need to see. With the exception of BYU, they're understandable due to their mormon religious bias!
Ha, NOT!!!

Southern states? You mean like all the "Mexican Americans" here in El Paso that wear U Texas at Austin gear? Proud of a football program that didnt integrate until 1970?

As for the term ghetto...that doesn't mean all blacks. What it means is programs that cruise the slums looking for the most talented illerate they can find and calling him a student athlete.
Coach K comes from a low income home himself. He recruits kids that work hard and are smart. Color doesnt matter. It seems to me that those pointing fingers at coach K are the ones obsessed with race. Were you calling out coach Tark for not having white players on his best UNLV teams or John Thompson and his great Georgetown teams? Probably not. Kids like Jeff Capel played for Duke and is making big $$ as a coach. I wonder what Armon Gilliam is doing these days?

Gee Culpepper deserved at least the third team....typical AP always looking over the Miners. We could be in the sweet 16 and they still wouldn't pay attention to us..

Duke, you're puke!
The fact remains Duke, Kentucky, and North Carolina Still fly the Confederate flag, drive their cars with the confederate flag symbols on their license plates still sing Old Dixie, and so on, and so on, home to extremist anti-government militias,......, etc., etc., etc., Deny all you want!
Now you say, "coaches cruise the slums looking for illiterate athletes"...?
And coach K cruises the white Anglo Saxon suburbs exclusively, right? He doesn't scour the slums?
I guess he just doesn't want to lower himself, eh?
What's the matter he think his stuff don't stink?
I suppose there are no slums in North Carolina? No, worse than slums, only trailer parks in the woods, eh? This is where coach K recruits? Inbreeding trailers?
North Carolina, birthplace of the white supremacists, Ku KLUX KLAN, and right wing extremist kooks!
Hell even the Kentucky faithful named their Arena, Rupp, after their racist coach! Hmmm, Adolf, why does that name sound so familiar?
Obviously there is no defense for recruiting exclusively white player, period!
BTW, did you thank the officials for awarding Duke a place in the final four?

I am not a Duke fan. I can see that you cannot read for comprehension. Going to the slums looking for good kids who can play ball is one thing and coach K does that. Trolling the slums looking for the best talent regardless of character or intelligence is another.

Texas leads the nation in "extremist anti-government militias,......, etc., etc., etc., Deny all you want! What did Jesus say about a plank? LOL calling out NC while ignoring the history of Texas is funny.

Montana, Idaho, Michigan..., ever hear of these states harboring anti-government militias? The Hutaree, for example,(hail from Michigan), and the arrest of nine of its members for planing to kill police officers, getting ready for the, "rapture"!
Now we have word of some right wing extremist group going to hold an armed rally in commemoration of the bombing of the Murrah Fed. building in OK, by Timothy McVey!
Deny all you want, are these misguided fools from Texas?
I only agree with you with regards to the current governor and his crony Tea party base loons, and so-called baptists and evangelical hypocrites do reside here!
These people are worse! Sad to say!
