Hey Tubby,

Just saw you call out Ralph and Colton on Kare11 News for lack of effort. The other day it was Blake. When you are making ungodly millions, it is YOUR job to see that the players are prepared mentally and physically for the rigors of the Big 10. When the highest-paid employee at the U of Mn tries to pass the buck onto the lowest paid employees (i.e., the players), something isn't right. Man up or quit and let someone else do the job!

The whole basketball program should be cancelled and all money transfered to the students education during this tough economy and for the next twenty years. putting a basketball in the hoop makes no sense nor does a team that dont know where the hoop is.

Gopher basketball has pretty much always sucked and always will. My apologies to all the Mitch Lee fans out there. That champagne glass carved in the side of his head was so classy! I'd much rather watch high school hockey than a bunch of thugs majoring in "Recreation, Park and Leisure studies"!

Except that basketball is a revenue sport...the barn is sold out. It's one of the sports that pays for itself and subsidizes other sports programs.

You call yourself "Mr Money", but probably should change it to "Mr Brainless".

I thought Penn State played very, very well. The key down the stretch was PSU making all 12 of their 12 free throws attempted. The pressure on our guys was relentless.

Like all season our 3 point shooting was horrible. When you make only 2 of 15 attempts the other team just sits back in a tight pack around the basket and lets you fire away. In the modern, 3 point era, you can't just feed the post unless you are going to make some threes and/or hit the free throws you get.

But, it was the 12 out of 12 from the charity stripe that really won the game for them.

Shouldn't Sid Hartman be providing some updates as to what jail Mitch Lee hangs in these days? I know Goopher basketball fans used to really like Mitch.

Minnesota is as much a baseketball state as Wisconsin, Ohio, and Michigan. They just need to recruit guys that will stay around and stay out of trouble- and oh yeah, come from Minnesota. There's lots of talent in house, we just need to get them.
If Tubby can't do that, or just doesn't want to, then there are other problems......
I'm no Tubby hater, I think he is a good coach. He may have had some bad breaks with guys leaving(or kicked out) but these were HIS recruits. What baffles me is how Tubby allows 2 recruits to go to WI and basically lead the Badger's to another successful season as we (MN) continue to wollow in our misery. I agree with you that MN has plenty of in-home talent, but if a coach like Tubby can't keep them here, then who can?

Here's why:
