maybe there should be a replacement of the athletic director? seems as if he can't figure out that a coach from somewhere else with a loosing record can not possibly bleed blue in lexington. being the #1 most winning school in the country is almost in the history books?

On one of these blogs somebody said Bring back Tubby. Tubby's not the answer. Unless the question is what happened to KY basketball. Gillespie was a mistake.

its called the "peter principle". when a person climbs the success ladder and then reaches a point where it is to much to handle. they are either not qualified or the job is not a fit for them. tubby had reached it at UK . obama has reached it as president , and billy G has reached it at UK. pitino reached it in the NBA. the result , poor decisions, and massive chaos within , resulting in negative returns .

mitch doesnt have the moxy to pull the trigger. he was afraid to can tubby , so we had to wait for tubby to leave on his own. mitch will use some excuse that tries to save his face. if this was UNC or UCLA , the hammer comes down. this is why UNC will soon have the most wins of all time.

You know Dean Smith was "hung in effigy" early in his career. He and Krys#*&@sky both were both very unpopular their first few years. That being said BCG seems to be a poor fit at first glance.

firing billy G would send a statement that kentucky wants to win and they want a coach he can handle the job . however , although it appears billy wants to win , i think he is in over his head. so yes , it is a poor fit. i still think that mitch will drag it out. afraid to type up the pink slip. if mitch isnt careful , one day the president of UK will get some moxy and mitch will be handed his own pink slip.

there is definetly alot of turmoil in the CAT kingdom right now, seeing what is going on further wexplains why Tubby exited left in the middle of the night. He recruited and left behind one talented player, Jodie Meeks, in my opinion the writing was on the wall 2 years ago, play the blame game and point the finger at whoever but in the end try to compare the overall talent level with any division 1 school. Thanks Tubby and thanks Mitch for setting UK up with the most embarrassing season in my lifetime.

The Ky. athletic director needs to admit he made a mistake hiring Gillispie and needs to immediately start looking for a replacement. Someone with a winning and proven track record. We need someone who can coach and recruit! Ky. basketball has not been the same since Pitino left. There is to much at stake here just to do nothing! Looks like this year I will be a Louisville fan for the tournament!

tubby was in over his head. mitch is in over his head. now billy g is also in over his head. time to cut off some heads and bring in the right people to stop this nonsense. UCLA did it in the 90s and UNC did it after dean smith. what is keeping kentucky from doing it ?

wrong wrong wrong. not the AD , the president of the school needs to admit that he made a mistake and fire the AD for making so many mistakes. then fire billy g as being one of the mistakes.

I would like to see Kentucky consider Jim Obrien for the job. I believe he would be a great fit. His NBA connections would be great for recruiting and he too comes from the Pitino tree of coaches.

i cant see obrien wanting to coach the college game. pays less than the NBA and he is already established in the pro game.

If KY hires Travis Ford I am switching to the Cards. Ford does not have the coaching experience that KY needs. mitch Barnhart is the biggest ******* idiot in the world somebody needs to fire his ***. I wish Pitino never would have left. Ky athletics SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!
