Oh so incredibly ironic coming from an Illini fan.
You guys still buying new cars for your star recruits?
You might as well pick a name and stick with it chief...everyone can pick out your asinine ramblings from a mile away.
No, the illini alumni quit buying new cars a couple years back! The auto ins. was getting too high. Their players had so many previous DWIs that that the premiums went through the roof.

Roy, did you have some bad experiences while you were at IU? One of the male athletes shoot down your advances?
Did a girl's softball team players give you a beat down in front of the dorms?
The reason that I ask is that you are on a self-righteous high horse and project a deep resentment to IU athletics. Sampson got caught. Knight hasn't. That's the only difference. Cheer up, buddy, there are ways to help you:

Grab some rogaine & viagra and plan yourself a weekend getaway to the Bunny Ranch just outside of Las Vegas.

If not, there's always mail order brides!

It does seem as if they are having a little lovers' quarrel here!

Those are both the "Imposter". Scroll back through the posts here and you'll see that Old Roy and Reality are IU fans having their handles stolen, exactly as yours and my previous one were. Anything with a Chicago, Ill IPS is the perp.

There are a lot of players on this team. It has been a long time since IU could go what nine deep, with the expected addition of Ratliff?
Hoosier Fan, remember these are young people, they will stray once in awhile. If Sampson contines to show them some tough love they will learn.
Anyway, IU has a pretty good team and should do well in the Big Ten. March is a long time from now, so no predictions there.
Will be curious to see how Sampson responds to "tough love" from Miles and company and if the punishment will be accepted by IU fans [of which I am one], even thought Sampson should be shot for screwing up.

I am an IU alum and fan living in Louisville, Kentucky. It is difficult sometimes but I don't fallinto their trap. From my standpoint, I think the Hoosiers did a credible job even though Kentucky is down this year. There is a lesson to be learned here - regardless of how good a coach is, you have to have something to build on. Basketball is going to be fun this year if you are a true basketball fan. There are a lot of good teams out there and March will bring madness this year. I am loving it. Let's enjoy and havepositive comments about alof our Indiana teams. Go Hoosiers, Boilers, Butler and the rest of the state teams.

Correct. The guy from Illinois is a nutjob. He stole one of my screennames too. I posted on another article friday at like midnight and saw that the dude was in an Eric Gordon forum posting under my old screenname. If he steals this one too I'm going to go ahead and register for an account.

The guy from chicago is a total obsessed nutjob....

One reason I have cable is because I have SIX TV's! I sure as hell don't want to pay for six (6) satellite boxes.
I second that. I have five TVs that all get regular use and, even if I went with Dish Network's best deal, I would have to hook up no fewer than three receivers.

It's hard to cheer for an Indiana team when none of its players are from Indiana... and, when healthy, only two players of note are native Hoosiers.
I bet you complain about outsourcing too. This whole "we have to have Indiana players at IU" argument is just dumb. There are 3 other large public state schools that compete for in-state talent. Even Evansville picks off a decent southern Indiana or Indy kid from time to time. Just because a couple of hot names came out of Indiana recently doesn't mean that every single local high school player is a stud or even a good fit for our program. As a dues paying alum, I want the best product out there. If that means 2 Croatians, an Argentine, and 2 dudes from the Bronx so be it, as long as they win a few tourney games. Everything is global now boys. Either adapt or get passed by.

Look at the rivals.com Top 150 and count the names from Indiana. There are 5. 1 (#99, now out with his second ACL tear) signed with OSU as a soph when Matta was camped out at LN, 2 (#22 and #27) we finished second to UNC and Memphis, 1 (#121) was a verbal commit to Mike D. as a soph who later backed out, and the other (#146) committed to NC State before Sampson really had a chance to recruit him. So 3 of the 5 were actively recruited by IU at some point so don’t knock the roster because the kids decided not to commit.

6 of 14 current players are from Indiana - Bassett, Finkelmeier, Ratliff, Gordon, Ahfeld and Taber. We play, win, and lose as a TEAM. So it's unfair to draw a line by saying just players "of note” count.

The fruits of our cheating are starting to pay off. We beat Kentucky! Yes Kentucky, that elite school that we've always wanted to outshine but has literally owned us for decades.
I don't care how we cheat, as long as we continue to beat Kentucky! It doesn't matter to me that in the least bit that we cheat, as long as we do a better job at it. And don't get caught, and if we do Sampson needs to at least think things through of what to say. He has made himself and IU look foolish when he has opened his mouth on the subject.
It just takes a little of the steam out of me when I go to brag to my friends that IU is the best and they call us cheaters. If we didn't get caught then it wouldn't be an issue.
I guess we will have to live with a tarnished image as long as Sampson is still coach, but as long as we win, I don't care.
If we have to buy more Gordons, then so be it!!
sorry Roy , you have my sympathy
