With the departure of Gordon, Nelson has now become my favorite player on this team. I love that he is physical and plays with such tenacity! Nelson will have a great career at UCLA.

He seems like a real tough kid. I hope to see Howland develop him into a defense commodity. If you recall Kevin Love was Mr. Offense but a little weak on the defensive end at the start of his Bruin season. but by the time over half the season was over he was holding his own, sliding his feet, using his chest, all the trademarks of the UCLA defense as we have come to love!
