Mark Titus, a former walk-on who played 48 minutes in four seasons with the Buckeyes, has a chance to make the Harlem Globetrotters.

Ok, this was cute for a while but I'm getting a little tired of Mark Titus and his clown prince of people who suck at basketball routine. It's nice that you were about to get some mileage out of riding the pine, but it's time to graduate and get a job.

I think he just got a job that probably pays more than the average Dispatch/Topix poster gets. Sounds like a good start for a young guy.

Love it! I agree with Wilbur. Don't listen to Mr. Hairy Chest up there. You only live once. You are young. How many guys can say they played for the Harlem Globetrotters. I have more positive memories of going to their games as a kid then any other Bball games. I guess that may be because they made me and my brother and my Dad laugh our asses off!

Every one cannot be TOP DOG....Titus knows this and accepts it. His gouging Turner shows his relationship with Turner. Don't know what Titus' future holds but one thing for sure. He won't be one of those people blaming everyone else because he wasn't top dog. The Trotters probably are interested in him because of his since of humor and his skills (what ever they may be) in basketball. Those who are "downing" this article needs to lighten up and take it for what its meant to be.

Spot on, Dude. If the Globetrotters, Titus or his blog aren't your cup of tea, no one is forcing you to watch/read/listen.

What ever happened to being happy for someone who is given an opportunity (Titus has been invited to try out, nothing more) to utilize his talents in a way that clearly many people *do* enjoy? Perhaps a little jealousy at play here...?

Good for Titus! He's young and I'm assuming not married and has no kids. Go have fun for a few years, travel the U.S. and world on the Globetrotters dime. Make a little money while you're at it, too. You have the rest of your life to work. Enjoy!!!!

Thats pretty cool. I never really felt like reading his blog, but getting drafted by the Harlem Globetrotters would probably be a pretty fun job.
