So after all is said and done: Jeff Jacobs who do you think is going to win? I don't agree on everything you have said, but, it's all about playing a fair game. RIGHT.

If blair lowers his shoulder and creates the contact like he did in the first game and it is not called. It will be a long game for the huskies.

Note to Hasheem:

If he touches you...fall down

It worked for the Friars

When he backs into you as in game #1
don't backstep under the basket.

Stand your ground then go down.

I think Hasheem will be a better defender against Blair this go round. Ya'll seen the last time he played Harangody? He just keeps getting better...One-More-Year!!! One-More-Year!!! One-More-Year!!!

Yes, lest we forget that Sam Young played the game in foul trouble, eventually fouling out and Terrell Biggs only played 14 minutes.

At the risk of being designated "Sour grapes", the purpose of imposing fouls is to prevent any player from attaining an "unfair" advantage, period.
Lowering your shoulder into an opponent's chest and displacing him/her after they have established defensive position should be recognized as an offensive foul by even the greenest of referees.
The last game was a prime example where the "officiating" can have an undeniable impact on the outcome. I would hope the league took a long, hard look at the game tapes and saw exactly what we saw. Equally, they would decide to apply the baskeball (not Hockey) rules in a fair and reasonable manner. Time will tell.

Well, Jeff called it. Looked like the old Georgetown thug teams out there. Thabeet just isn't strong enough to handle a 30-year-old who weighs the same, but is a foot shorter.

Just checked the box score. The Beast that ate Thabeet the last time had just eight points. UConn shot 19 foul shots to Pitt's 9. Pitt was called for 16 fouls, UConn 14. Only one player fouled out, one of Pitt's starting guards. So you Husky fans can't whine about the refs and you got beat like a drum again.

But I'm sure you will find something to whine about, you always do.
